Dark ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cassis, licorice, and plum. Plus body, plus tannins, plus acid. While strong, balanced, and elegant, it opens up with a soft, round palate. Exemplary Napa red. 68 Cab Sauv, 28 Merlot, 2 Cab Franc, 2 Petit Verdot. — 4 months ago

...highest rated best value for the money in my opinion. — 3 years ago
Yummy, full but not overpowering. Smooth, not chalky. I think I actually hallucinated while drinking this wine and hallucinated that I was standing in the vineyard where it was made. — 4 years ago

Big fruit forward then a dusty dark fruit in the middle. Then a quick dusty finish. — a year ago

Surprisingly soft, fair tannins. — 2 months ago
Medium ruby in color; cherries, baking spices, and blackberry jam on the nose; medium acidity; medium tannins; tastes like raspberries, strawberry jam, crushed gravel, and a hint of dried herbs with a long finish. Nellie says it's not bad, but I think it's pretty good. — 4 months ago
Enjoying this, though it’s lower tannin than you might find a cab from other CA regions. Blackberry and leather on the nose that moves toward dark chocolate as it opens up. A bit earthy but some dark fruit too. Smooth and velvety, probably not going to age better from here. — 9 months ago
Lighter #mendocino Co #pinotnoir - enticing cherry, apricot and subtly spicy nose. Delicate frame, lovely acid structure and silken tannins on the finish. It just might be my new Costco QPR favorite for $8. — 4 years ago

I agree with some of the statements below, great wine but I don’t think it’s 100% Carignane — 2 months ago
