Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Very nice for a 2015 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. May be better to hold for a couple years. — 9 years ago

Mill Station Vineyard Chardonnay 2014

Very good RRV Chardonnay with definite oak on the mid palate and medium acidity. Might have gone to a 9 if there were more distinctive fruit in the nose or taste. — 10 years ago

Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 1998

14.1 % alc.
A very nice wine from an over-looked vintage in northern CA.
Fading in the glass after 1 hour so it is time to drink up.

Angeline Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Lots of red fruits (cherries, strawberries) on the nose and palate, some vanilla/leather and lingering spiciness. Very light bodied for a cab, a smooth juicy mouthfeel with some tannins. Molly's review "my instinct is to marry this bottle with s'mores at a WI fall fire pit." I usually don't go for cabs; this could change my mind! — 9 years ago

Maison Ilan

Les Chaffots Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2011

I was going to wait to open this but the negative commentary thread on the wine berserkers forum lead me to open this bottle. The wine was excellent it was well balanced: freshness fruit and acidity. Most of the negative comments are from individuals not receiving their wines in a timely manner but the negativity seems have found its way into the reviews. Based on my experience with this particular wine the quality is high. I hope Ray Walker solves his distribution problems (as it this writing his website was not operational). — 10 years ago

C’est très bon mais un poil trop puissant pour moi. Belle évolution mais le vin a encore une longue vie devant lui — 9 years ago

Badass! Deep color with a perfumed nose of dark cherry, baking spices, powdered sugar and cacao. Very California and for what it is, I really dig it. Clean and silky stuff — 10 years ago

California Cabernet Sauvignon 1977

1977 Martin Ray: almost unctuous, with strong and wonderful acidity. Nose of plums, old cedar, earth. Not an explosion of aroma, but really nice for an old Napa. — 12 years ago
