I think the whites from Alban are much overlooked and are wines that generally will benefit from aging.
This 2013 is no exception however it might hit its peak sooner than the 2010/12 vintages and to my palate is a bit less "CA Rousanne-like" than I usually see from John/Glenn.
Still a BIG fan!!

Pretty good but not the best Riesling I've ever had. Tried it alone and with food. — 8 years ago
Light Cabernet. No tannins to speak of which is great. Very smooth. — 9 years ago
Gorgeous. Just fine combo of funk and fineness and line and length like a great Glenn McGrath over with a bit of Damien Flemings out swing to keep the batsman guessing. Tops — 9 years ago
Nose of strawberry, cherry, and allspice. Strawberry and sour cherry on the palate. Good but seemed to get a little syrupy on the finish. Cool label but f* the Ravens — 10 years ago
Fantastic viognier from John Alban (or Glenn Skrabanik - not sure whi's doing most of the winemaking legwork these days). Great aromatics (honeysuckle?), medium balance, and a nice finish. Not the best incarnation of their viognier - might need another year or two to fill in - but is still a really enjoyable wine. — 10 years ago
Got to take advantage of another Wednesday Wine Committee and boy was it worth it. Wow! Killer wines brought by Glenn for his 60th!
I've now had the 2008 and 2010 back to back in less than a month and I'm sold on this stuff. The fruit in these vintage champagnes, even with age, is so impressive. Granny Smith apple, croissant bun and grilled pear. Killer! — 8 years ago

The wine pours a medium gold color with promising honeysuckle, baked apple, melon, and baking spice aromas. On the palate it's full bodied for a wine that sees no ML. It's harmonious with bright acidity and a hint of tannins that add to its delightful structure. It shows baked white peach and apple, melon, a bit of nectarine and baking spice flavors with a lingering finish. This is a great winter white! The fruit was sourced from the Bonofiglio Vineyard, owned by Glenn McGourty and his two brothers. It's a seven-acre organically farmed vineyard is located five miles north of the town of Hopland. It was aged in neutral French oak for five months with lees contact and stirred once a month to increase mouthfeel. 14.2% abv — 9 years ago
One of my favs — 9 years ago
Fantastic cab! Full bodied, brimming with blackberry and intense black currants. It's fruit driven right now but very balanced I have no doubt complexity will emerge as it ages. I've had the 11, 12, & 13 Ravens and loved every one of them. — 10 years ago
Why the fuck can't I edit this!? Blueberries, violets, earthy edge. Yummy. Brambly Zinfandel and Rioja notes. Figs. Leather. Served by Glenn from Sydney. — 10 years ago
