Il Sole Di Alessandro Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

A cab from the land of Chianti. At 10 years old the mineral flavors rule the roost with few tannins left over. Probably the perfect time to drink it. — 7 years ago

Querceto di Castellina

Vigneti Belvedere Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Merlot

Earthy tones, medium viscosity, slight fruitiness once you let the wine breath. Becomes more subtle in the earthy tones once the one breaths for 10 mins.

The Oak-Sheltered Vineyards Chianti Sangiovese Blend 2016

Bone dry, black powder sulphur on the nose, phosphate minerality, tart cherry, mild tannins, medium plus acidity and smoked meat in the middle. Interesting and enjoyable. — 7 years ago

"The Oak-Sheltered Vineyards" Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2014

I think it's low reviewed because the year it was drank. This has another year on it and it is definitely better. Simple and rounded to me. Loving the tobacco I'm getting from this, but easy enough for an introduction to wine — 8 years ago

Castello di Querceto

Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2019

What a nose. Mint and menthol along with dark cherry, some oaky notes, some kirsch touches too. This is a great, multi-layered nose. The palate is very well made with a great acid backbone, some width, some nice mouthfeel, with a good grip. Cherry notes, a bit of tar, make way to a massive ball of a mid palate that introduces a strong layer of tannins, leaving some drying dimension to the mouthfeel over a very long cherry driven finish with that tar thing. It's great stuff! — 2 years ago

La Castellina

Squarcialupi Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2015

Decent Sangiovese blend from Tuscany. Fruit forward and delicious with spicy notes like black currant and plum. Not my favorite Tuscan in the $30-50 range — 4 years ago

Vigna Il Poggiale Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2015

9.2

2015 vintage, great Chianti Classico Reserva. Perfect balance, light bouquet full flavor but not fruity, smooth tannins, superb on the palate and edible finish. Estate bottled, among the best of the grape we've had. — 6 years ago
