Sorry Paul 😱😞😞😱😜 — 9 years ago
Very fruit forward. Easy to drink glass after glass...which we did. I agree with the pro ratings on this one. Very delicious. — 10 years ago
I'm surprised by pro rating because I really enjoyed the wine after waiting it breathe. Great price too — 10 years ago
Well balanced. Just amazing — 10 years ago
To use my best Pro term, this was Very Yummy! Softer and more approachable than the current (2014) Riserva Especiale Unico — 11 years ago

Two words: Elegance and finesse.
Like a tennis player performing the perfect slice instead of going for the smash. Like a heavyweight fighter dancing around, jabbing a thousand times, even though he could go for the KO any time.
For us good wine making comes down to two simple words: elegance and finesse. In this case it means not pumping the wine till it almost bursts just because you can, but to balance it perfectly. The acidity is there. The power is there. The spice is there. The fruit is there.
So, thank you Jürgen Krebs! This wine didn't only go perfect with tonights bbq, this cool grown grape juice also matched the summer evening like a match made in heaven. — 9 years ago
I really like it when I get recos from fellow oenophiles which turn out to be spot on - @Jörgen Lindström Carlvik, take a bow.
In the glass, the wine appears to be very extracted, which I find is a pleasant first indicator. The wine coats the glass, demanding your attention.
The nose is pristine, yet urgent. Cigar notes, cherries and dark fruits are perfectly integrated.
On the palette, I'm in raptures. This is a seamless example which is tight, compact and dense. It has a viscous mouthfeel, finishing with polished tannins and a touch of sweetness.
This is a brilliant effort, which is begging for bottle age. Thanks to Jorgen, I've finally found a Sangiovese which does not require me to sell my house to buy a bottle (you get my point).
Paired with my own Sheppards pie (made from scratch). Don't hate the player, hate the game! — 10 years ago
Not a pro, but picked up a lot of alcohol on the nose. Tastes for more pleasant with a little spice but a long smooth finish. — 10 years ago
What a wonderful full bodied rustic red! — 10 years ago
Mmmmmm Grenache. So soft and lovely...like a well aged and taken care of older woman; Delicious and not so forward on why. The seriousness level is like at 10% here with chewy fruity notes...not thick...but full and sun tanned. A likely player to test against many of the other cotes du rhone players. Unique, to say the least...and absolutely southern rhone. — 10 years ago
Soft bold flavors that go down so smooth. I love this wine but alas, I am a player and my tongue use will grace other wines as well. — 11 years ago
I don't know what else to say the I haven't said...shared with friend, was a player for WOTN. The nose is so intoxicating and inviting. Espresso and Tom Ford Black Orchid perfume come to mind. Sage, crushed black fruits, cedar element and wet cut granite run the entire palate. All those flavors push through for a strong finish showing a slight crunchy tannin surprise in the end. — 9 years ago
Excellent wine. Good structure and good young flavours. The pro rating must be for a poorer vintage because this is good Happily put this in my cellar and show it off. — 9 years ago
This fine thing pulls me in as I breath her earthen essence faintly fragrantly post-rain flowerlike wet, dripping a whiff of some distant weed working its way around the corner as a horn player lays out a rhythm to which we dance turning, twisting, eyeing discriminately she shows her plum-to-burgundy rim, then goes deeper, as she lightly touched my lips showing red fruit unctuously lava-like clinging leaving a ripe plum-like memory touched by cassis long and lasting begging for more - so we continue...amazing locally-farmed, open-water oysters... — 9 years ago
Another amazing French style wine from Oregon that *isn’t* Pinot Noir. Southern Oregon is really where it’s at. — 10 years ago
Smashing Belgian White! Pro rater....fit the fuck are you on about? — 10 years ago
2012: made from 30+ year old Mendoza clone vines, partially barrel fermented in french oak (25% new), wild yeast, partial MLF, aged in barrel for 9 months. Epitome of elegance, and oak is a real minor player here. Floral, fragrant, chalky, with green apple, white peach and a hint of cream. Built around its acidity, light to medium bodied. Delicious — 10 years ago
Венгерский и французский дуб, опять же хороший баланс, сочная ягодность с легким ванильным тоном — 10 years ago
