Very pretty light pink. Strawberry nose, very delicate. A hint of anise then a very pure and focused palate. Great clarity and fine acidity. Not revealing much on the early palate but great quality fruit and long. After a few hours it's settled but still very young. Decades ahead. — 9 years ago
Pretty damn good for so young. — 9 years ago
Young at 2014 but really pretty fruit and killer acid. Would be fun to taste in another year or two — 10 years ago
Obscenely good. At the moment it's pretty huge and young but so impressive and so long. A Bordeaux wearing rocket propelled roller skates — 10 years ago
This is ridiculously good, and I'm gathering pretty underrated because it's a 2004. Frankly, I would have to try this side-by-side with the 2000 to be able to come up with any explanation why the 2000 is the better wine - certainly this one offers at least as much pleasure if you're drinking them today. It's a no-doubter right from the pop of the cork, with beautiful classic left bank scents of ripe black fruit, cedar, and woodspice. I suspect but could not say for sure that there is a non-zero amount of brett here but if so it's certainly in the zone of making things more interesting rather than flawed as the wine also features very enticing scents of gamy meat, something vaguely metallic, and a bit of saddle leather and sweaty funk. The fruit, however, is still beautifully ripe with a glossy sheen and a saturating sweetness on the palate, yet still feminine and slender in proportion - this is what they mean when they talk about grand cru breed. The color of the wine in the glass is pitch black at the core with bright ruby edges. This is not material that seems in any way to come from a less than ideal vintage. The fruit is slick enough that you don't really sense the structure. I don't know if it can get any better than this, but it really doesn't need to. For a Bordeaux of this age - and it does still taste like a young wine - there are not many that are so accessible, expressive, and compulsively drinkable while also having this level of detail and class. — 10 years ago
Can't believe it's still young n pretty! — 11 years ago
This is drinking really well. A lovely nose with kirsch, a herby sage thing and meaty, lively red fruit. On the palate young and vital. Lovely bright definition- vivid and powerful. Heat in check. It's young but much better balanced than a lot of 07's with great Pegau funk. Excellent and a good way ahead — 9 years ago
Good old vine zin. Started as pretty good and became a favorite by the end of the bottle. A great value. — 9 years ago
Good balance, pretty low-bodied and low-tannic for St. Estephe, very drinkable even though quite young, red berries with an elegant touch of oak — 9 years ago
Dark inky purple. Strong aroma immediately upon open. Bold and silky smooth, but very much fruit driven. Pretty much just jammy blackberry and blueberry. A little sweet. Enjoyable and decadent, but would have liked a little more complexity. Probably just too young?

Simultaneous feelings of extreme satisfaction and extreme shame at drinking a thing so beautiful but so young. — 10 years ago
A lot of spices on the nose. Very interesting color, incredible complexity for such a young wine. This vineyard is making some pretty nice Stuff 👏🏼👏🏼. I saw this and had to try it right away. — 10 years ago
2013 vintage. Just got our allocation. Had to open one to appreciate where this will be in a few years. Lots of ripe red fruit, abundant spiciness, pretty bright acidity. Nicely balanced for something so young. Gonna be sick in 4 or 5 years. — 11 years ago
So pretty and yet so young. — 11 years ago
Pretty sure I called this wine a "humbling experience" late last night after too much wine and mezcal. Jamet, Cayuse, the old Reynvaan wines, they've got this thing...this crazy balance of milky funk and mouthwatering acidity. Really doesn't get any better, I guess you could age these but how could it get better? — 9 years ago
Aromatic, bright, and firm. Probably too young, but it was a pretty show. First time around with this producer. — 9 years ago
Amazing wine for one as young as this, it tastes like a wine 10 yrs older.
95 merlot, 4% cab and 1% petit Verdot.
Intense color and concentrated flavors, this red is pretty stellar. The wine maker suggests this wine can be aged for 20 years. — 9 years ago
Had to aerate for 10 minutes only for the woody stinkiness to disappear.
Brownish ruby red.
Prunes, raisins, maybe overripe strawberries on the nose, next to cognac, black pepper.
On the palate, it's pretty intense: Rather watery than viscous, sweet on attack and finish, low tannin, distinct licorice on mid-palate, acidity neither firm nor flabby.
Medium-short finish, but the mild tannin lingers for quite a while.
Might be time to drink up, for this is pretty ripe already. I wouldn't want this to disintegrate more. Fun to drink. I'm happy to notice that, while I like this mature thing, I really also want to drink younger reds with a more velvety texture and firmer tannin and taste profiles.

A pretty floral and elegant red fruit driven wine. Reminds me of Beaujolais meets Pinot Noir. Red floral notes, red cherries, red plums, pomegranate, clove, a touch of toast. The body is silky with pronounced acidity and a touch of bitter tannins in the back palate. — 10 years ago
Cranberry pie. Round, smooth tannins. Pretty young — 10 years ago
Young but so much potential. Nose has intense lilac and violet with dark red fruit. Mouth coating but so pretty. Tannins too intense. Easily ready to age for 20 years and will gain complexity. Tons of potential. — 11 years ago
Conrad Green

Perfectly poised and saline. Great concentration but light as hell. A focused oyster shell thing then gorgeous bright fruit. Contained still. Very elegant with huge power. Probably way too young but sheer class with great length. — 8 years ago
