Prarie Berry

Château Mouton Rothschild

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1959

2nd bottle was the wine of the night, impeccably stored, still intense dark berry fruit intensity, outstanding. — 8 years ago

Dunn Vineyards

Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Dunn Howell has never disappointed. This holds true for the new 2013. The climate that year shows through in the marked black berry fruit presence. The tannins are ever present and will help keep this beauty for 20 years to come! — 9 years ago

James Berry Vineyard Red Rhone Blend 2012

Love what Pax has done over the years. I have a few bottles of his 2003 Griffins Layer... It's a beautiful wine that is probably mind-blowing at this point; however, this wine shows restraint, refinement and a sense of place. Looking forward to owning a bottle in a few years. — 10 years ago

R. López de Heredia

Viña Tondonia Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2002

Wow. This is young, and the nose is a bit of dark red berry suffusing a sea of resolving American Oak. The American oak is so pronounced that, had I tasted this blind, I might have taken it for Ridge... :) This has decades ahead, even if -only- a Riserva. Like La Rioja Alta 904, a fantastic value in old school Rioja... — 9 years ago

James Berry Paso Robles Syrah 2003

Intense raspberry on the nose with hints of smoke. Amazed how time has tamed this wine. Rich and lush red fruit this has successfully transformed itself. Reverberated in every nook and cranny of my mouth Carries its alcohol effortlessly. Last of 3 bottles and this one was head and shoulders better than the previous 2. — 10 years ago

Nice to read, we have the '11 in the cellar for the birthyear of my daughter. I understood it was not a long living vintage, but your post shows the contrary 👍

Mollydooker Wines

Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz 2007

Further proof mollydooker's have age ability. Rich red velvet cake with cream and berry icing on the nose. Lots of complicated earth and chocolate and root vegetable notes take over with a fantastic, long, tannic finish. Beautiful. — 10 years ago
