First taste of Moelleux, from Acker. Golden color honeyed sweet nose with the acidic and minerals Vouvray nose. Unctuous but balanced on palate with medium finish that had lingering acidity. — 8 years ago

Dec 14, 2016. Top Ten "Bubbles" tasting. Whoa! 34% Chardonnay,33% Pinot Noir, 33% Pinot Meunière. Yummy — 9 years ago
First wine we tried at the Oakton Wine Shop's 5th year anniversary celebration. Very light pink and clear. Lots of tropical fruits on the nose, with some citrus and watermelon undertones. Moderate acidity (6/10) and light bodied. Palate was coated with strawberries and citrus fruits. Long dry finish. Drink till 2019. — 9 years ago
This champagne brought us back to reality. Just a standard bearer of a champagne reminiscent of a Pol Roger. — 10 years ago
An excellent wine to toast to our cruise! Thanks NCL! — 10 years ago
Five years cork age on this beauty; glad the decision was taken to drink (now who relies on natural cork); wildly full of pinot noir development; nose heaviness; layers of mature pinot tertiary aromatics; such as herbal oils, deep nuts, mushroom, aged yeast bits too; drunk with raw scallop, celery, fennel shavings, mullet bottarga; dressed with lime, olive oil; Pol brings out the savouriness of the green vegetables; salt of the sea, sweetness of scallop; all veges home grown; palate is full on; powerful, not the massiveness of Winston Churchill but same mould; square wine which hardly tapers in the mouth; the amazing feats of champagne! @polroger #polroger #champagne #1999 #pinot — 10 years ago

Acker auction. First opened Iceland 7/20/17. Earthy and dark red fruits minty notes on nose. Medium body and good balance with acids on palate and medium finish. Great value $12 for'99. Not there typical Aussie style. Good mix of old and new worlds. A blend of equal parts Grenache and Mourvedre. — 8 years ago

CVed 11/15/17. Beautiful after waiting a bit. Violets dark and black fruits and a hint of mint on nose. Great lively balance of acids minerals and black fruits on palate with long complex finish. What a buy Acker 8. More years to go as primaries still predominate but already yummy. Also have a 2013. — 8 years ago
