Fabulously crafted Sauvignon blanc from a great producer from Italy that rivals some of the nice bottles from the Loire valley. Almond paste, lemon peal, and hints of melon with a bit of funk in it from the fermentation style. Great length and creamy texture. Thumbs up. — 4 years ago

The 2019 Malleolus de Sanchomartín is a 100% Tempranillo parcel wine sourced from Emilio Moro's vineyards in Pesquera del Duero and was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Purple with a garnet sheen. The modest nose offers dark fruit notes with hints of wild herbs. On the palate, it's dry, rich and juicy, with a taut, chalky mouthfeel that leads into a compact, restrained finish underscored by traces of oak. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, November 2023)

Fantastic bottle of classic Brunello, brought back in 2013, from our visit there. One of the best I've had. Red fruits, hint of vanilla, full bodied and medium to long finish.
