In a great place right now. Bitter chocolate, dark cherry, a little tarry. Best window is probably in next few years — 11 years ago
2011, MastroJanni, Rosso Di Montalcino, Montalcino, Sangiovese. Ruby with a wide garnet rim. Black fruit and red fruit, with violets, pepper, anise and wet leather. Finishes with mushroom and wet clay. Med plus acid and tannins; medium alcohol. Really well balanced with layers of fruit and savory flavors. Good pair with Korean short ribs. — 12 years ago

Barolo still confounds me. Haven't found my ah ha moment yet. Constantly searching — 11 years ago
Easy drinking wine! — 11 years ago
Some of the happiness may indeed be because I've been a little to Californian lately. Occupational hazard. This has got pretty violet aromas mixed with herbal notes of pine and faint rosemary. Palate reflects aromas, adding dried cranberries, leather and tobacco notes. Good tannic grip. — 12 years ago
2013 vintage. Ripe and juicy cherry fruit. Lightly chilled is the best like tossing the football around in the fall. A touch of green tea. (Bitterness) isha cranberry. — 11 years ago
