Perfectly refreshing after hiking Mt Pico — 7 years ago
Lemon/lime, subtle creaminess, and great salty funk. Akin to a lemon/lime milkshake gose... if such a thing existed — 8 years ago
Smooth and mellow. Best I've had in a while. — 9 years ago
Not much on the nose, but this is a very nice white. 80% chard gives it boday and lit oak. 20% Favorita lightens it up to remind me of a heavy pinot grogio. Great with or without food. Yum!

Smoky finish. Very smooth. — 11 years ago
2008, Cien Y Pico, Doble Pasta Garnacha Tintorera, Manchuela. Hundred year old Grenache vines on their own rootstock. Heavy extraction and probably no fining nor filtering. Intense red and black berry flavors, countered with a lot of spice. Not your typical Grenache but very tasty. Glad I have 2 more. — 12 years ago

Intense mineral, a surprising hint of strawberry. The fruit is pretty fat, given how tight and acid this is. — 7 years ago

Are Italians even capable of producing a bad wine? This was one of the most perfectly balanced wines I’ve had in a while. Easy to drink, soft, not too fruity, dry, or acidic. Paired great with roast beef. — 6 years ago
Volcanic Verdelho do Pico (different from the Portuguese mainland Verdelho, also known as Godello in Spain) from vineyards located on 3 different islands - Pico, Graciosa and S. Miguel- in the Azores archipelago. Virtually at sea level and unusually close to the Ocean, vines grow on very poor volcanic basalt soils, surrounded by traditional stone-walled “currais” to protect them from the extreme Atlantic winds. Salty and mineral. Thirst-quenching acidity. Passion fruit. 🌋 🌋 — 7 years ago

Good value spanish wine. Not overly layered but enjoyable. Violet floral type aromas. Cherry, vanilla, leather, and subtle mint flavors. Paired well with grilled chicken. — 6 years ago
