Not much on the nose, but this is a very nice white. 80% chard gives it boday and lit oak. 20% Favorita lightens it up to remind me of a heavy pinot grogio. Great with or without food. Yum!

Very nice white wine from the Azores. Indigenous grape, Arinto, from the Pico area. Lots of unripe citrus peel and stone on the nose. Mouth filling and precise with excellent acid and a long finish. Miguel- in the Azores archipelago. 2008, Cien Y Pico, Doble Pasta Garnacha Tintorera, Manchuela. Hundred year old Grenache vines on their own rootstock. Heavy extraction and probably no fining nor filtering. Intense red and black berry flavors, countered with a lot of spice. Not your typical Grenache but very tasty. Glad I have 2 more. — 11 years ago
