Forest floor and underbrush, in a medium bodied with some dark red fruit notes. Drinks great considering vintage and cost. — 10 years ago
Brought this one back from a recent pilgrimage to burgundy. Ripe red fruit, light white pepper, and a brilliant forest floor earthiness. Somehow more complex and more accessible than any i find back home in this price range — 11 years ago
Undergrowth of a damp forest on the nose, complex and rolling flavors, a fabulius ride. — 9 years ago
Opens up with forest floor and wet leaves scents. Deep and balanced flavors continue to the end. Very good — 9 years ago
Bramble, crunch fruits of the forest, extremely terroir driven, earthy and minerally, surprisingly light in body. — 11 years ago
Congrats Philippe Gimel for this beautiful L'Argile 2010!
One of the best L'Argile we had!
Much Kirsch and dark berries in the nose, some licorice, chocolate, forest floor and floral aromas like lavender and as Jeb said dried flowers.
Harmonic mouthfeel and a fresh very long finish. — 9 years ago

Shengli Hu
The grandparent grape of Carmenere. Juicy red fruits, a hint of cassis and blueberries. Rustic, quite a bit of VA, wild herbs and dusty forest floor. Green pepper Jalapeño and smoke on the palate. Good structure. Light body. — 8 years ago
