See previous note from a year ago. More medium bodied than I recall from previous tastings. Plum flesh aromas and flavours together with dark chocolate. This wine is obviously old vine Barossa Shiraz and is Peter Lehmann’s flagship. Still plenty of power and energy which will see it through for several more years. — 10 months ago
Amazingly acidic, great body. Like an apple jolly rancher — 2 years ago
My first Lauer GG, this is everything I love about his wines compacted like a crushed car into something so dense as to be almost unknowable. Would be curious to know how these drink decades beyond. — 5 years ago
That is my favorite from the tasting. High elevation vineyards at 1800-2000 feet. Kermit tasting. — 7 years ago

Some Rieslings are too sweet. This one isn't. It's great!

Very good, but still tannic and needs time. Well made wine. — 6 years ago
Vino blanco seco, con acidez y alcohol mes-alto, notas minerales y herbáceas. Aromas a toronja rosada y albaricoque. — 7 years ago
2007 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chardonnay. HB w MnD and J&D B. We loved this wine wine so much at the Heart concert and we loved it tonight. Floral, along with notes of buttery brioche and oak. However, somewhat surprisingly, as we drank this in comp to the 2013 Ridge Monte Bello Chardonnay, it did not win out. Still such a great wine that we really, really enjoyed. — 8 years ago
A great easy drinking favorite it makes a great tapas with friends. It's never a choice when it's a choice. — 8 years ago

Baked peach and apple, flint, and smoke. Vibrant with great depth, concentration, and power. A touch of sweetness to mellow out the ripping acidity, perfectly balanced! — 9 months ago
The 2021 Chardonnay Belle Côte is a wine of tremendous density and power. Orchard fruit, dried pear, graphite, anise and dried flowers infuse the 2021 with tremendous flavor complexity. Readers will find an intensely mineral, savory Chardonnay with the fruit pushed into the background. Belle Côte is the original Chardonnay planting at Peter Michael. Bottle compliments of Ken and CIG’s 30th; opened during Moxie’s soft opening at Alexandra House. Danny is drinking solo as he has been since June (counting the days until cleared to drink again) — and comments include, “it gets better the colder it is; I like French and New Zealand SB more; it doesn’t have the acidity we are used to...” Most importantly, tonight we toast to Josie as we wrap our head around what 22 August will forever mean to us. We have one other bottle; will confirm rating when we both can share the bottle. — 3 years ago
Amazing crisp green apple flavor. Don't serve too cold otherwise you lose the fruit. — 7 years ago
