Cassis, coffee, black plum and vanilla aromas. Tip-of-the-tongue sweetness with buoyant cranberry, toffee, and framboise.

Just received in wine club shipment and thought would give a try. I don't have the nose some do so will just say it was a very nice wine. Had some strong tannins and is a somewhat spicy wine on the back end. The second glass was much smoother than the first. I did enjoy the wine but not my favorite and probably a bit overpriced at retail. Would be interested to see how it drinks in 5 years though. — 8 years ago

The color reminds me of a stained glass church on a bright summer morning. Notes of Raspberry cheesecake start on the nose. Add black currants, cinnamon, pepper and tart cranberries. Tastes like a Dr Pepper!! Not overtly jammy, very soft tannins, perfect with smoked Gouda, truffles but not sharp cheese like pecorino. — 8 years ago
