You really get the aroma of green tea, but not so much the flavor of it. The flavor is different, but you wouldn't be able to identify it unless told it was green tea. Has a slight bitter taste from the alcohol, but overall really good. I'd definitely drink it again. — 11 years ago
My favorite double IPA, from my favorite brewery, yes I am if you did not know, a big "Stone Head" I go visit this brewery very often to fill up my Stone Growlers, and pick beer that you can only get at the brewery, and of course "Enjoy By" which you can only get all the time in CA, or the brewery, this is the beer they released in 2010 to celebrate the anniversary of Ruination, it is much more hopped up version of that, big big hops, almost 11% ABV, big tropical and citrus notes, Awesome brew, only for true hop heads, this one will ruin your pallet for sure, glad they decided to release this now every year, once a year, so stock up like I did, you can get it now, the one few beers I give a perfect score, 10 out of 10, Excellent!!! — 12 years ago
As of the time of writing this review, this is with out question my favorite and best brew I have had so far this year, Perfect IPA in everyway, I have been to Stone Brewery many time, filling up my growlers, and that was the only way, up till now to get Stone's beer so fresh, that is what this is, each batch as a "Enjoy By" date, and every batch is slightly different, this one so far is the best and biggest batch they have produced, Awesome, Awesome stuff, truly Amazing Brew, Cheers!!! — 12 years ago

Pepper, tar, mocha on the nose. Somewhat sweet with a long finish of vanilla, peppers and nutmeg. Makes me think of Christmas, in Mexico. — 12 years ago

Not spicy just smoky. Great — 12 years ago

My perfect IPA. Hints of Honeydew melon with bursting hop aromas. I just managed to drink this before the due date :-) — 11 years ago
Love this beer, Stone's Famous lank mark strong ale "Basartd" 17 Adversary, combines all three "Basartd's to make the best of all, big fresh hops, because it is only released fresh once a year, big west coast style, leans more to a double IPA, but rich Carmel malt backbone, just awesome brew, nails the best of all three — 12 years ago
Stone-Heretic partnership... Well played. — 12 years ago
I know this site is mainly for wine, but nothing like a 7 year old beer to renew your faith in local brewing. Dried bananas mixed with candied lime zest with a bit of barleywine style malt on the finish. Amazing. — 12 years ago

Stone is on another level with their Enjoy By series. They have been consistently good, with noticeably different characters for each release. This one is tropical fruit heavy and very balanced and drinkable at 10%. — 11 years ago
