In the perfect drinking window right now. For a ripe vintage this wine is impeccably balanced. The elevation must have helped keep the ripening in check. The color was a youthful dark red core with res edges. The nose was bing cherry, plum, blackberry, and loam. The palate was full bodied, concentrated but light on its feet. Bing cherry, cassis, and plum took center stage on the palate as mocha flavors weaves with the perfectly integrated tannin, The flavors expanded from the immediate attack, a huge mid-palate through to a long, persistent finish. — 12 years ago
