This wine is INSANELY underrated! So much to unpack here. A flavor bomb. — 6 years ago
A Cinsault planted in sandy, quartz soils. On the nose, cherry and earth notes plus hints of pea and a touch of sulfur. Soft in texture, it has gentle tannins with a little chalk and a rich aftertaste. A flavorful wine. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, March 2020)

Funky, black pepper notes, leather and earth. Very interesting Chilean field blend, rustic and memorable. — 10 years ago

Gasoliney, cidery, light fizz feeling, citrusy. Turned better a few days after opening! — 5 years ago
The 2015 Daniel Gomez Jimenez Landi Las Iruelas is exotic and spellbinding from the first tilt of the glass, showing a bouquet of dried florals, crushed strawberries, and a dusting of Christmas spice, as it develops more complexity in the glass, with white smoke minerality, hints of black pepper, and leaning now toward the black fruit spectrum. It envelopes the palate in soft textures, deceiving at first, as a mix of tart red berry fruit descends upon the senses, further complicated by saturating minerals and savory spice, cheeks puckering from brisk acids as an air of sweet violet florals amass toward the close. The finish is long and spicy, with fine tannins clenching with a lasting twang of blackberry and citrus. Wow! — 6 years ago
Petrol nose, almost like a Riesling. What a delightfully strange wine. But when in Chile, drink Chilean wine. Enjoyed at Bocanariz. — 8 years ago

Cedar, dusty earth, dried herbs, strawberry and raspberry, all wrapped in a gauze of rock dust and pulverized dried flowers. Amazing acidity and a faint saltiness in the finish. 100+ year old Cinsault bush vines from the nooks and crannies of Itata. Dr. Terroir (soil geologist Pedro Parra) is putting his terroir where his mouth is. Roughly 30% whole cluster, but 100% delicious. — 5 years ago
— 6 years ago
Salty caramel.....bloody delicious. Mostly cortado so only a touch of sweetness from the Pedro Jimenez. — 10 years ago
