If making a 'Condrieu' good looking Viognier was a paradigm in California 15 years ago, Ranchero has made the dream became truth..Ripe apricot and peach notes along with wild flowers notes. The use of oak and not evident at first sip. This is a great white to explore, sit down and have a holiday meal.. — 8 years ago
My favorite N&N wine, hands down. Oak nose with mature blackberry. But the neatest thing about this: the nose has THE true expression of Oakville dirt. Got to smell the dirt at Paradigm and the nose of this wine ALWAYS takes me back to Oakville. Sweeter, dense blackberry fruit with a hint of vanilla and almost a purple note. Middle expresses the notes of the Oakville dirt. Lavender. Finished with nice, expressive notes of Oaked blackberry and POWER. For the heat they take among some winos, the one thing that cannot be denied is that they make consistently very good wine. — 8 years ago
Good wine in a great place right now! Great density. Tasted the 10, 11, and the 12 with Ms Cakebread in our recent trip. I think she was surprised we didn't like the 12. Parker gave this one a 93, which I shockingly agree with. I think this wine has incredible depth and density, but it was ready to go at pop and pour without any decanting needed. I don't think this is too age worthy, which is shocking given its AVA. FWIW, it seems Crocker&Starr and Paradigm Francs are just better "built." Still this is a indisputably good wine with great acidity, fruit core, tannin, and finish. More on Cellartracker. — 8 years ago
Raspberry, black cherry, dark chocolate and earthiness. A wine that proves just how much cool-climate Shiraz can offer. Echoes of St. Joseph. — 9 years ago
Dry and oaky! 33% new oak 67% old oak, fermented bone dry. Ok structure but needs more fruit for the amount of oak. — 10 years ago
Stunning, simply put. An exotic display of intense ripe fruit offset by earth and forest floor. Classic, yet delectable all the same. Is this the new paradigm for Brunello? Will it mature like other vintages? I can't say, but I will tell you that this is absolutely gorgeous tonight. — 10 years ago
Delightful Dry Creek Zinfandel for a chilled dreich day -poised beyond new world standards with length and complexity to beguiled even the claret obsessed. Never thought you would find a Zin outside the jammy paradigm? Here's a sophisticate that doesn't take life too seriously but beguiles with depth and breadth. A champion among Zinfandels at this age (2011) from a 375ml format. — 10 years ago
Very fruit forward. Black cherry, boysenberry, blackberry, mocha, and spice. Good finish and lush mouthfeel but I will admit this followed up a 2009 Paradigm Cabernet Sauvignon I drank. Ouch!! — 11 years ago
Great way to celebrate the 4th of July. What are you guys drinking today?

2010 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon
______
Oakville, Napa Valley, North Coast, California, USA
________
Tasting Note:
Received a three hour decant and tasted blind. Deep and dark purplish ruby red. Layered nose with anise, cassis, cherries and rich undertone of black fruits as well. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. A light touch of heat on the palate but not overwhelming. Rich and lush palate with dark spices, blackberries, blue fruits, cinnamon and some dark cocoa. Long and lingering finish. A real treat to finally try a bottle! Drink till 2030.

A hint of Alsace in Victoria ! — 8 years ago
Tasted with Gianfranco Soldera @ Case Basse. A paradigm changing visit. I can say this with confidence, no other winemaker on the planet has their finger on the pulse like Gianfranco. A man who is 1000% invested in his land that produces profound sangiovese. — 9 years ago
Exceptional paradigm of a 2005 Bordeaux. Luscious with berries and tempered by anise. Tanins have nicely mellowed. — 10 years ago
Elegant and great balance. Seems like a paradigm for good simple burgundy. — 10 years ago
Enjoyed at Dawn Dickinson's home, poured by Mr. Ren Harris of Paradigm — 10 years ago
Enjoying a great Pinot from Down Under... #aussierules — 10 years ago
Like most wines in today's line-up: marred by alcohol...
Loved the aromatics, quite evolved already... — 11 years ago
From one of Greece's most iconic producers, this wine is a stunning, lengthy and concentrated expression of Assyrtiko. Salty and mineral - it tastes of iodine, lime pith, fresh green apple, green olive skin and crushed stones, yet the addition of Athiri gives the wine a softness and lift. Completely transportive to the Aegean, the paradigm of an island wine. 75% Assyrtiko, 25% Athiri. — 7 years ago
Also spicy but less full - initially complex and quite smooth but with little aftertaste. — 8 years ago
50/50 Merlot - Petit Verdot. — 8 years ago
Have to think of Mark Stull every time you pop a bottle of Chappellet! Unfortunately it didn't stand up to the Paradigm last night. Decent nose, plenty of fruit, but either needs some age or some more refining. I enjoyed it, but better cabs at this price point. — 9 years ago
Paradigm shift! Orange + oak! — 9 years ago
Paradigm of Beaujolais this old aging well. Concentrated, dark fruits, plenty of structure to carry longer and had a lot to say. — 10 years ago
Here is another paradigm in wine from Greece that over delivers on value. Don't be fooled though there is bright acidity that lifts any dish. — 10 years ago
odd tempranillo in a very good way... difficult vintage but still the quality shows. silky finishing, perhaps less powerful compared to other vintages but an elegance that is a paradigm for great wines. — 11 years ago
