Garnet red with some bricking around the edges. Some dirty notes of the nose with a little greenery and soft dark berries in the finish. Moderate tannins (7/10) with good acidity, a little higher than expected. Mainly red berries on the palate with some savory herbs in the finish. Medium plus bodied and medium plus finish. Interesting wine. Very sweet almost jammy sensation at first, reminding me of a Zinfandel, but it it set my palate to the point that it became more balanced with darker dryer undernotes. It was very balanced and focused. Good acidity and fine integrated tannins, so we kept drinking it and we’re actually sad when it was all gone. — 9 months ago
