I had bought this wine for my wife who likes robust wines  - what a pleasant surprise in addition to its body. It had complex bursting flavors. Consistently flavourful from the first taste on my lips to the Gargle and aftertaste. Needs a bit of air upon opening to blow off the reductive edge.
Shows juicy, ripe, creamy blueberry with a bit of toasted and a fresh, mineral streak.
The magic happens on the palate - brilliant energy & depth. Great, pure, juicy, fresh blueberries with rocky minerality. Sappy, velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, so fresh.

Too often this,wine is drunk at release. Just a little patience goes a long way. At 7 years the primary black and red fruit is still there with dried plums showing up along with cedar cocoa tar anise. Tannins still there so can go along a bit longer bit why wait — 4 months ago

We had the 2013 vintage on 1/11/24. Tastes of blackberry l, plum, eucalyptus and camphor. Full bodied and fruit forward. A very good Washington Merlot. — 5 months ago
