Interesting wine from Lodi. Good zin characteristics. Mild spice, good fruit. Remember this one. — 11 years ago
The third PCV wine opened the night of my birthday. This Zin is dense rich and sweet fruit with a bit of soft tannin. One of my favorite PCV zins. But getting old. — 12 years ago
I drank this at their open house, and at the time I thought it was one of the best 2011's we tasted. This is another example of a wine that will have the "experts" pondering the 2011 vintage. This may be similar to a 2003 for selected wineries. I'll go on the record that I like it - a lot. — 10 years ago

One of my favorites! — 11 years ago
True story: at some point in this bottle's 23 years of aging, the cork sank into the bottle. When I saw that that had happened, I thought I'd lost this treasure. I thought it had to be bad, but nope. This legendary wine withstood the test of time! Even without a cork intact, the wine stayed really, really good. Thank goodness and yummmmm-y! — 12 years ago

Roy Piper
The best of all 10 Wind Gap wines I tried today. And one of the cheapest. 13.75% alc and it shows. Love the Jolly Rancher strawberry flavor. Gum coating tannins. Wish more of their wines had this slight added layer of ripeness. From 85 year old vines grown on pure sand in Alexander Valley. Made in a concrete egg. A huge surprise. — 10 years ago
