Side by side against the Hunnicutt Brinkman (GIII fruit), Bevan’s blend was more fruit forward, a little richer and more dense. Raspberry and blackberry morphed into a darker, slightly earthy finish still with pronounced fruit. Less complex than the Hunnicutt but still a great bottle of wine. Decanted for 90 mins and was impressed. Depth of the second half of the bottle after 24 hours was even more impressive. Big range on this. Dark rich fruits and the lead is the nose as others have said. I’ll be back (yes! I wrote that before realizing what I was writing). My first experience with a Turnbull was a success. — 8 years ago

A wine of contradiction. Brilliant ruby w translucent edges. Energetic fruit on the nose, especially present when poured alongside 2010 West ridge. But the palate is all earth and spice. Awesome — 9 years ago
