Very good Merlot!!! — 7 years ago
A surprisingly nice Cabernet! Relatively light and lots of flavor. Oak and earth flavors with a bit of spice — 8 years ago
A smooth and easy drinking Cab with the flavor profile of a much bigger wine. Tannins are velvety, great finish but doesn't require as much chewing as some other Cabs its same age — 9 years ago
Great red to enjoy with friends. — 9 years ago
This is surprisingly good. Rich and floral on the nose, grapefruit and apricot on the palate. Firm mineral backbone and a nice citrus zing. Would love to see how it will age. — 9 years ago
Minty-eucalyptus, smoked green chiles (in a good way) and fatty bbq smoke on the nose. Elegant mouthfeel with plum, peach skin and dark cherry notes. Finish is cocoa and light tobacco with a hint of soy sauce. Needs some time to fully integrate. — 10 years ago
Jammy bouquet. Significant licorice and vanilla notes throughout the smooth finish. Similar to a Caymus Cabernet.

Dark fruit and tobacco on nose, would swear it’s a cab based on the nose. Soft fruit with a nice tannic backbone. — 6 years ago

"Medium-light golden yellow color; attractive, spicy, baked apple aroma with a hint of cinnamon; medium-full body; slightly fleshy, crisp apple and pear flavors with good depth and intensity; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended."
- Nick Ponomareff, California Grapevine, March 2014
Our appellation Chardonnays are given less new oak - twenty to twenty-five percent - and spend less time in barrel - twelve months - than the single-vineyard wines, but otherwise are made identically to them. This includes whole-cluster pressing for delicacy, native-yeast fermentation, aging sur lies with bâtonnage, and full native malolactic fermentation. — 11 years ago

Olivia’s recommendation, lovely. Roughly $30 a bottle $14 a glass at the Dock — 7 years ago
Young wine with mild OH on the nose paired with very nice fruit. Plums, prunes, and blackberry on the palate, but lighter than most cabs. Nice finish, and the recommendation was spot on as this wine definitely punches above it's weight at $20+. Curious as to other opinions. — 8 years ago
The Jimmy Watson Trophy is awarded to the best one year old Dry Red at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show and is highly sought after, guaranteeing an immediate sell out. To complicate matters only 250 cases of this wine were made and this wine won the 2011 JW Trophy. I managed to buy 2 bottles and this is my first and it is superb. Made by SA Shiraz Royalty in Nick Glaetzer from Tasmanian cool climate Shiraz. Aromas of Pepper, Egyptian spices, Incense. On the medium bodied palate spicy red fruits and more white pepper finishing with soft supple fine tannins. An absolutely lovely Northern Rhone style. Would defy anyone to pick this blind as an Australian Shiraz. — 8 years ago
