Yummy classically styled Riesling from Finger Lakes, purchased at the winery yearsss ago. On the nose peaches, petrol and lemons. In the mouth, decent acid, slightly too high sweetness for the acid balance, lemon curd and minerals. Medium finish. Very well made and spot on for an aged classic Pfalz Spätlese. Update Day 2 - bump to 90, better integrated sugar/acid and stronger petrol. — 5 years ago

Sun is out, it's in the high 70s, time for some rosé! Pale pink with a slight orange hue to it, this delivers peach and strawberry flavors on the palate. Dry and crisp, there's a slight hint of gravel in the background (in a good way). We LOVE this wine and literally buy five cases of it on release and then pray there's some left by Labor Day. (There's usually not). Also makes an excellent piscine de rosé. — 8 years ago

Fantastic NZ Sauv Blanc! Attractive light green; gooseberries(!), grapefruit, clean apple cider, with a faint hint of green peppercorns, cooked sage, and line zest; stunning acidity and tightrope balance. Very nice. But happily schizophrenic; pop the cork and it's big, jammy, and inky... Almost new world. Come back to see him the next day or two and the French accent comes thru. But still too closed to let the terroir thru. Obviously I infantcised this one... Cellar if you can. — 11 years ago

July 2016 disgorgement. Bright clean notes of rhubarb and wild strawberry with sweet biscuits. Amazing focused mousse and lingering finish.
