Deep purple in colour. Some sediment. Cedar, tobacco, black currant on the nose. Black fruit, tobacco to taste. Long finish. Opened up in the glass. Could handle one to two more years in the cellar. β 9 years ago
I love all things Saxon Brown. I've tried almost all of their wines, and the Parmelee-Hill did not disappoint. β 9 years ago
An old favorite from Burrowing Owl Winery. Nice and rich though not as bold as some other vintages. β 10 years ago

A more dry rose, but very smooth! β 9 years ago
Take a dill pickle from a good deli and bash it around in a well-made humidor then set that whole affair in front of a bowl of blackberry conserves. Et voila! Initial impressions. With air, this sheds the dill and cedar and replaces it with wintergreen. Overall a beautiful expression of a difficult and contentious variety. Satisfy your curiosity here; you'll enjoy it. β 9 years ago
Very light and fruity and great for a $3 bottle. β 9 years ago
Good wine for on the deck β 10 years ago
Fantastic. Just the perfect amount of oak. Easy drinking, love the oily quality on the palate, ever so slightly sweet but still completely dry. Very round flavor. β 11 years ago

This is a delightful and fascinating wine with good age potential. Seek out stateside. Remarkably jammy black cherry from Okanagan BC fruit aside classic, bracing cool climate acidity. Moderate+ alcohol and moderate/- tannin. β 8 years ago
