Nose of myrtle, black currant with hints of menthol, eucalyptus and dust, cardboard. Black berries just explode on the palate. Greasy mouth, full, vinous with molten tannins. Very rounded. Superb. — 7 years ago

Great Southern Riesling aromatised with Bush herbs and spices. This wine bangs - there is a fair bit going on on the nose (it’s like sticking your nose in a dried herb heat bag) and in the palate - dried herbs, orange, apple, mandarin, myrtle, eucalyptus; a solid medium body and nice acid. Not ostentatiously orange, it’s interesting and goes down a treat — 8 years ago
I really like this producer. This wine looks like its a brooding beast, but it smells like soft seawater and decomposing violets. The palate is insistently acidic and linear. The tannins follow the acid gracefully, wrapping my mouth in a blanket of warmth. Egyptian perfume, myrtle, sage, myrrh. What a trip! — 9 years ago
Perfectly balanced sweet/savoury
These guys just took home a Bronze, Silver & Gold at the 2016 SF World Spirit awards.
With a botanical list to match any other including cinnamon myrtle and bush tomato plus local roasted coffee beans and vanilla.

Fave summer wine. Had first at Myrtle Beach restaurant, The Cypress Room, for our 29th anniversary. — 9 years ago
Delicate style. More restrained, floral, lots of rose and lemon myrtle. — 10 years ago
Pours pretty mature ruby with a dusky dried rose edge.
Initial nose is blueberries, bay leaf, myrtle. In a pretty happy place re balance.
With 6 hours of air shows a tiger balm/fernet type of herbal complexity. I preferred it pop and pour but appreciate both expressions. — 6 years ago
Myrtle, myrtle, myrtle and smoked spices. Full-bodied, thick and greasy with sweet molten tannins. Just great. — 7 years ago
Quirky digestif. — 8 years ago
Slight petrol on very dry switchgrass. Birchbark, paper myrtle, matchstick. Dried lemon, red apple and clove, orange pith, burnt kettle aromatics. Medium mouthfeel with lemon charge, pencil wood, madeleine, sweet grapefruit, cocktail lime and a slight persimmon and papaya reversal. Simultaneously crisp and heavy, but always lighter in retrospect. A genuine dichotomy. #cortona #toscana #italianwhite #sauvignonblancday #whitewinereset #whiteleather #bianco #donotrepeatthishashtagunlessyouwantvampirecurses #blanca #blanco — 8 years ago
