Dependable good taste! $13 H-E-B — 6 years ago
Dark ruby in color with aromas of black cherry, lavender, cloves, and caramel. Nicely concentrated red fruit and gravelly minerality are evident on the palate with firm acidity and moderate fine grained tannin evident on the finish. Josh Jensen made this from 100 % organically grown Pinot Noir sourced from vines planted in 1975, fermented with native yeasts, then aged 18 months in 30% new French oak. Consumed from a 375 mL bottle, this wine has the fruit and balance to enjoy now and the structure to allow it to go 15 years or more. 14.3% ABV. $88. — 6 years ago

1hr+ decant and could have used more. Dark red color. Interesting nose with metallic, medicinal tones that tingled my nose. Wine has massive strawberry and cassis; and is sweeter than I was expecting. Very concentrated. The tannins reduce with ample air and the spicy aspects dissipate with time as well making it more approachable. Medium finish. — 4 years ago
Taste like strawberries 🍓. Lightly tannic. Light & bright. Good w/ or w/o food. Not funky, but tasty. — 5 years ago
Frequent crusher. Such lovely balance between oily custard texture and acidity. — 6 years ago

Tart black cherry, anise, pine and alpine vibes, high acidity, low spicy tannins.
A beautiful Cali Barbera with the acidity and spice of Piemonte, with the high toned fruit of California sunshine. I love! — 4 years ago
I’m a believer in terroir, but this wine, which is an absolute ringer for Chablis, throws everything in question. If this were grown at Rorick with its limestone that would make sense, but semillon from the Napa valley floor? Out of the bottle it’s quite lithe, showing lemon and a bit of seashell minerality, but with an hour of air it begins to show some crisp apple and white stone fruit, and some white flower. Lovely, unusual wine. Enjoyed with grilled salmon and salad. — 5 years ago
Really light refreshing delish! — 6 years ago
Delicious, blend of the kitchen sink, but full bodied and full of flavor, delicious — 7 years ago
Idk anything about it. But, it’s great. — 7 years ago
This wine is excellente! Deep silky dark fruit. This is a great sipping wine, yet it will sing with a thick steak or juicy grilled pork chop. This is a 2007, so good luck finding one. — 9 years ago

Maybe a bit too old but nevertheless a delicious experience - caramelised notes, dried cherry, figs, spices and vanilla. Smooth and full bodied albeit lacking some acidity. Finish filled with dried mushrooms and chicken stock — 8 months ago
