One of the better White Burgundy's I have come across motif a Cru origin. Smooth with deeper oaky elements and a nice finish. Outstanding for the price point. — 10 years ago
Was worth the wait while being cellared . 2003 vintage. — 11 years ago
This bottle of Krug had the vine motif on the label that dates it to the "no Krug, no thanks" era. My guess is that it was based on a harvest between 1997-2000, so likely pre-LVMH. The wine was spectacular. The butterscotch and brioche nose as well as the brassy color were signs of patient, tender cellaring. Texturally, this Krug was as good as any wine I have ever had, velvety and full. The back end exploded with chalk, nuts and a complex array of dried fruit. The finish went on and on. Cellar some Grand Cuvée- you won't be disappointed. — 8 years ago
Delightfully innocuous. The kind of thing you want to drink when you want something a cut above "delicious", but that you don't need to think about. If you must think, this is all about ripe berries, a medium body, a hint of vanilla...extract? And mid-level tannins. And a stellar minimalist label. I like a crescent moon motif. — 10 years ago
Warm baking spices jump out of the glass, reminiscent of the aromas that fill a room after opening an oven door with freshly baked pie. Pie motif continues through the palate with well integrated baking spice and cherry reduction flavors giving way to a well sustained and satisfying finish. — 10 years ago

Excellent plum and apricot overlay in a light motif wine. Wonderful! — 9 years ago
Wow. Not sure I would call this wine. More like dessert at a swim up bar... True to the umbrella fruity drink motif.... Ahh summer — 10 years ago
Earthy and tannic. Notes of coffee, cherries, and a little chocolate/vanilla motif. — 11 years ago
Roman Sukley
Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" white blend with a little light motif accompaniment. That kaleidoscope of colors is a visual representation of the palate-pleasing ambience offered up by this wine. 24 carat golden hues, giving up some marzipan, lemon rind and yeasty notes on the nose. Tropical notes on the palate with a rather buttery, toasty finish of great length. One caveat, and one personal opinion: this wine needs AIR. 4-5 hours in a decanter is a minimum. And my opinion is that this wine won't really start to strut its stuff for a few years. A little cellar time will polish the legacy. — 8 years ago
