Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Lacrima 2017

2017 vintage tasted in 10/2018. Deep purple hue. Intensely perfumed with violets, practically leaping out of the glass. Full bodied but soft mouthfeel due to low acid and tannins. Fruity and dry. Exquisitely perfumed and quaffable red for only $15/bottle. Loved it. — 6 years ago

Special Vino Spumante Brut Rosé

Drank this wine when I asked my sister to be my Maid of Honor :) The rose by itself has a wonderful taste. When we started to eat dinner (salmon and Israeli couscous salad) the taste changed but was still good! — 7 years ago

Passito Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Lacrima

Taste of pepper which I'm not fond of, yet it paired very well with cheese. Pepper disappeared and the flavor melted in with the cheese. — 8 years ago

Mariasole Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Lacrima 2009

Dramatic, opulent, rich. I'm already a fan of the Lacrima grape, an absolute jewel of Marche. Made from grapes dried for 120 days. Aromatic Christmas spices, dried dark roses, brandied cherries, ripe blackberries. Secondary notes of bittersweet root and bark, a touch of cacao. A great cold weather cozy sipper for fans of Amarone. Pair with blue cheese, bacon wrapped dates, or balsamic reduction anything. — 9 years ago

Campagnia della Rosa Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Superiore 2008

Extremely floral nose - violets or berry blossoms and roses. Wow. Earthy and funky taste. Kylah liked it a lot, Peter not as much. A very acquired taste. Nice to try something different. — 8 years ago

Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Superiore 2008

My friend Jacob @chanteclerto put it best: "Perfumey, like violets & blueberry pie." This wine is well integrated with a whiff of oak. So juicy & drinkable - a treat to uncork the last bottle. 2008. — 9 years ago

The nose is an entire florist shop, such an intense bouquet! Dried tobacco and light strawberry play with rose petal on the palate. Must try wine of 2018! — 6 years ago
