This was singing last night. Nice nose of mature cherries and spice box. Mid palate displays density and weight. Packed with ripe cherries and a hint of tobacco, complemented with a moderate tannin structure. Oak treatment was in the background. Finished with length and a hint of soft brown sugar. Acidity is still prominent so I assume you could continue to hold this for another 7 years with ease. — 2 months ago
Medium bodied, firmly structured and rather energetic, it sports a reserved and savory profile of aromatic wild herbs and spicy underbrush fruit.
As it warmed up in the stemware, it began to better display a balanced structure with vibrant acidity and fine grained tannins. The finish is juicy and long. — 3 months ago

Beautifully aged, enjoyed in 2024, great balance of dark fruits, mellow tannins, and a touch of acid. Great wine! — 6 months ago

This is amazing juice. Sexy, opulent, tons of energy and verve. And still a baby in its development - the house style focuses on early drinkability. But with no corners cut on balance or depth. Paired with some incredible venison medallions, this put me on nuvola nove. 😁 — 8 years ago
Incredible brunello. Epitome of a young brunello. Violet ruby color with dark cherries and plums with touches of spice, aromas of forest floor and Great integrated tannins. Complex and it evolves beautifully in the glass. Definitely a drink now wine or ageworthy. The essence of sangiovese. Definitely one to try again and again. — 2 months ago
Particularly earthy and elegant, the 2006 Valdicava Brunello displays a dark primary fruit appearance, but in its nineteenth year, it has clearly evolved from a dense, fruit bomb into a more refined pour with gentle and teasing tertiary aromas and flavors.
It is soft, flavorful, medium bodied, still well structured with light tannins and brisk acidity, and reveals interesting and savory notes of baking spices, dried fruits, nuts and herbal underbrush. The finish is long and satisfying. Aficionados of well aged wines, this is for you!

Fully mature. Fine, integrated tannins. Beautiful pure fruit profile with some acid, and tannin to give structure. Lots of tertiary - leather, forest floor, earth, umami, tobacco. Grip. Long. Right in the sweet spot. — 3 months ago
Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 5 months ago
On nose, its warm and ripe fruits there, oak, black cherries, some white pepper. On palate, wine is medium bodied, fruit is still fresh despite of some aging, tannic at the end, and elevated acidity. This still need some time, try it after 2026 if you can hold it. Cheers! — 6 months ago
2019 vintage. PNP'd. Light-medium body. Consistent palate push throughout. Above average spice detail on the finish tho not nearly as complex or aggressive as the excellent 2016 effort. Total newb that could use a mandatory 5-7 to reconcile...issues. 10.22.24. — 7 months ago
More powerful and deep, good grip, needs a little time, good balance. Yum. — 7 years ago
Superb with our Margarita Pizza. Big Cherry aromas with the slightest tawny tinge as I poured. Bold flavors with a long finish. Two bottles left! — 3 months ago
A bit earthy with mushroom and dried cherries on the palate. The fruit comes through. Very nice with a sausage and mushroom pizza. January 2025. — 4 months ago
Very good and dry — 6 months ago
Medium+ body, high acid, with notes of tart cherry, leather, baking spices, and tobacco. Paired great with Osso Buco. — 9 months ago
Excellent Brunello. Decanted for 90 min and was worthwhile. — 10 years ago
