Pale bronze with effusive perlage and creaminess. The nose is simply gorgeous with red and green apples and almonds. Freshly toasted brioche bread with a dollop of cinnamon butter. Greenery and fresh red fruits. Stunning. I could just smell this for so long but I suppose I should taste it as well.
Pure Meunier from Cuisles. Disgorged in October of 2021 with no dosage. Terrific balance and structure here, as is the norm for all Moussé champagnes. From a perpetual reserve of wines that makes such a huge difference. The depth here is atypical.
Electric in the mouth. Great length. Minerality and purity on the tongue. A bit of citrus on first taste. Then the spice and fruit come in to play. Whenever I taste this I always think it’s my favorite Moussé champagne. And that’s saying a lot. — 3 years ago
A huge Raspberry hit on the nose and fruity original to taste. Love this — 5 years ago
Would have pegged this for Chardonnay. Still delicious. — 7 years ago
Deep Ruby with a Smoky floral nose that shows more syrah than Grenache at this point. Nice violet and forest floor notes. A bit tight at first but broadens on the palate with sit and the. Firm moderate tannins - a lovely beefy wine. — 8 years ago
Used the Durand on the cork - soaked to the edge. Decanted for 2 hours.
This wine had some gaminess. Smooth. Fruit was a bit wild and overpowered by the savory flavors.
Paired well with the chicken skewers and onions. Needed complex flavors in the food to pair well.
Good but quite a bit below the Beaucastel — 8 months ago
2017 vintage. Wowzers. This is absolutely firing right now. Decanted and tasted after 30 mins and 1.5 hrs. Great, expressive nose. Massive, expansive flavors on the entire palate field of play. Medium body. In a really nice place between youth/brashness and age/experience right now. Having its’ cake and eating it too. 7.30.23. — 3 years ago

Big words: best red wine PM has ever made. So joyous and energetic! The kind of wine that takes you out of conversation to remark on how delicious the wine tastes at every sip! Light sparkly texture is right up my alley personally. Lovely tart fruit and some forest notes. I would find it hard to grow tired of this wine, could drink a bottle every day. — 7 years ago
Opened yesterday. The nose is very syrahesque right now with blackberry, black pepper, violette, and almost a tiny touch of black truffle. The palate is fresh, broad, with a nice blackberry and pepper typical note, a very soft mouthfeel, some good grip in the rear and that tannic layer carries on over the finish. The finish is long and fruity with the same peppery and blackberry notes, but a tiny bitter note comes about in the end to lift the wine. It's fresh and lively and not really muscular like some Rhône example can be. The vineyard is planted at 600m above see level so maybe this is the reason. It's great stuff from Hervé Bizeul.
I tasted it 2 months ago with friends in a social setting and liked it a tad bit less than now. — 10 months ago

Everything that makes me happy about wine. Such a great bottle! Will actually go Re-buy. Betsy and I both loved it. Had it by itself in the outdoors in great scenery. — 6 years ago
I really love this wine, and bought several bottles after a SA wine tasting. Unfortunately I didn’t keep good notes, but I remember it being easy drinking and a good pairing with food or alone. — 7 years ago
This wife likes it. She’s got the real French taste buds so I trust it’s a good one. — 7 years ago

Intensive kaleidoscope of sumo orange, olive oil cake and leaf pile. Motor oil viscosity but featherweight palate. Batard finish. Wow. — 7 months ago
