Very funky on the nose, after decanting funk mellowed out. Acidic, mineral forward, barnyard juice. Geuze-like — 7 years ago
Whoa!! Juicy juice! Deep fruit and luscious. Kind of sexy — 7 years ago
Light fruity juicy AF — 7 years ago
Tawny with reddish amber rims. Dark yet translucent. Great old Chave nose. Black cherry, wet forest floor, smoked meats, menthol, slate stone and rhubarb notes. Vibrant in the mouth right out of the gate. Lots of structure and pucker. Fruit present but starting to fade. This was at peak first two hours and then started slowing down, opposite of the Trimbach CSH next to it. Still this was really good ~37 yr old grape juice. — 5 years ago
Into iiiiit. Good raspberry juice. — 6 years ago
It's sunny and just over 30°F today, so fire in the chimnea time! First flames of 2019.
One of our favorite new (2009) AOC's in France, this is 80% Gamay & 20% Poulsard, but the epitome of 100% sparkling strawberry juice! So GD delicious!
One thing to note, last bottle is always the best, we're out of stock now, but don't hold these too long. We've seen bottle variation, likely best to track lot codes on the bottles and make sure your buying a newer version than the last, since we're talking about an NV product. — 6 years ago
Like your mom’s day old raspberry crisp with a fresh lemon juice squeeze, a healthy dusting of white pepper and a scoop of fatty vanilla bean ice cream, suddenly the doorbell rings, you answer and no one is there except for a basket of oily bratwurst cooked in duck fat — 7 years ago
Continuing to kick off the un-labor weekend early in the D&S Lounge.
For those of you who haven’t seen me post Kalinda, it’s a private label from K&L Wine Merchants. They buy a quality producers juice or have them make a wine for them. I don’t know who made this wine but, they are a quality Oakville producer. This bottle cost me $18.99 about eight years ago and it tastes better than some Napa Cabernets at $75 plus that I’ve had. You just have to wait on them 5-10 years. This is somewhere near its peak.
It’s a slice of blue fruit heaven. On the nose, blueberries, mulberries, olallieberries, plum, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, strawberries, vanilla, sweet mixed berry cola, light cinnamon, soft dark spice, limestone minerals, dry crushed rock powder, dry top soil, black cherry licorice, a waft of dry herbs with bright dark red florals and violets.
The palate is round and full. Tannins are 80% resolved. The texture is sexy. The structure, length, tension and balance are in perfect harmony, (Seals & Croft/America on the album “Horse With No Name” style). Lush, ripe; blueberries, mulberries, olallieberries, plum, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries & strawberries. Vanilla, sweet mixed berry cola, light cinnamon, clove, touch of nutmeg, soft dark spice that penetrates the palate with some heat, tarry notes, dry stems, soft leather, tobacco with ash, graphite, limestone minerals, dry crushed rock powder, dry top soil, black cherry licorice, a waft of dry herbs with bright dark red florals and violets. The acidity is like a waterfall. The long finishes (minutes) is, round, lush, balanced, elegant harmony. It’s beautifully delicious.

Funky touch of fizz miracle juice — 8 years ago
Light gold in glass. Awesome nose. Notes of lemon, apricot, petrol, crushed stone, cardamom spice and a little white clay. Rich and well balanced in the mouth. Long finish. Leaves a sweetness impression. Still young with great acidity, and on its upslope... Can get better with a bit more age I think. Great juice. — 5 years ago

Drank this beauty in New Mexico with friends. Blackberries, sour apple and pine. — 6 years ago
Pale light yellow gold. Lively constant tiny bubbles. Deep round nose with high pitched fruit. Notes of pear, grapefruit, chalk and limestone. With more air you find some citrus and honeysuckle. Chewy in the mouth with great mouthfeel. Coats the entire mouth. Long finish lingers a minute or more. Velvet. Killer juice. Was inspired to open one of these after seeing a friend’s TN this weekend. Glad I did. — 7 years ago

Palazzo Della Torre 2013 Veronese, Allegrini - wow. The production of this wine is impressive. Corvina and Rondinella grapes are fermented in September and a second group are dried until January when they are pressed and added to the September juice. I have decanted it and it is wonderful!!!!! For a restaurant wine I am very very impressed. I am at DePalmas in Athens GA the downtown restaurant. The bouquet is a bit jammy with chocolate and cherries. Like a chocolate covered cherry!! The initial palate is dark cherry, blackberry, and tart raspberry. The mid palate comes quick with notes of chocolate and spice. The finish is wonderful. It is very dry with hints of coffee and nutmeg. What a complex wine. Its the best Italian wine Ive had yet!!!!! — 8 years ago

Feels like it’s been a long while since I’ve circled back on The Prisoner. I used to drink the junk out of this juice years back and now that I try it again, it doesn’t seem like much has changed, at least in terms of overall flavor profile - I know the company has been through a lot of changes over the years but they’ve kept the juice consistent (courtesy of the humongous assemblage no doubt). It’s still the ripe, brambly fruit fest that I remember, all laced in espresso, dark chocolate, and spice cake. A fun (but overpriced) blend that certainly has its place. — 5 years ago
