I cannot believe I forgot to review this, had this so many times, maybe I did review it, just do not see the post, anyway, this is Stone's session IPA, what that means is, it is a lighter version of a IPA, most have 6-7 % alc/vol, this 4.5%, they use a hop bursting process, adding late addition dry hope at the end, big tropical notes and flavor, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, excellent beer, when you do not want to be blown away, but still want a hoppy fruity IPA — 11 years ago
Okay, so this is a beer not a wine. Nevertheless, it is yummy and I want to remember it. Light like an Asian beer in a good way. — 11 years ago
Incredible and what good value. This almost drinks like a cider or a very dry sour beer. Great acid and incredibly food friendly. Paired this with Hawaiian style garlic shrimp and it was perfect. I would keep a bottle of this on hand at all times because it is that unique and great. — 12 years ago
The one and only, Pliny The Elder, hard to find if you are not here on the west coast, King of the IPA's , is it worth all the hype and trouble, I would sincerely say yes, you are still a beer geek virgin if you have not had this, it is so well balanced with big hops, citrus and tropical notes, truly a remarkable beer, there other beers that come very close to this perfection , but fall just slightly below the high bar this beer has set, I have this on tap at my favorite brewery, if you follow my posts you know where that is, now Pliny The Younger, that is a little more hard to get, you need to buy a ticket for that, after a few times, I got one, will review that one soon, the best way to get this beer outside of the area it is brewed in, Soma, is beer trades with other beer geeks, I will trade this for Hop Slam, Heady Topper, Zombie Dust, those are some of the more popular trades from West Coast to East Coast beer geeks, well worth seeking out, not impossible to get, not like the "Younger" — 11 years ago

The guy next to me thought I poured him martinelli's and said it reminded him of Michael's Art Supply Store. No use in comparing this to rose champagne or anything prestigious and reputable. This is ridiculously enjoyable, better than beer if you're in a girly mood or just had enough pale ale for the day. If somebody had made strawberry water and carbonated it this would be that. I feel like that may have been said a million times already but since no one's actually doing that it's okay and the insanely cheap price tag on this will help you feel like it's okay and that Francis Coppola didn't spike this with with a heap of sugar before putting it in the bottle. Low rent, low expectations, adequate and creatively perfect results. A good date, easy, and at least the kissing is juicy and enjoyable. — 11 years ago

I wonder if the purple label is a reference to grape must in this #moderntimes #saison...#PinotGrigio grape must... tastes more like #albarino or #grunerveltliner to me. #craftbeer — 10 years ago
