This is so bomb... And even more bomb because I picked it up for $6.75. Just a crianza but Conde Valdemar goes above and beyond with everything so I'd imagine this sees a year of oak and further bottle aging before release. It's an ’08 but I'd say it's still got another 5-10 years on it.
Delicious ripe strawberry, raisin, prune, dried red flower, dried blueberry, decomposing leaves, organic matter, irony minerality. Lots of dried fruit but the wine is so fresh and vibrant at the same time. Great acid backbone, mod tannin. Loving this. — 7 years ago
Cocoa, pencil lead, fresh coffee, blackberry, raspberry jam.
Acid mod, tannin med/med+, round — 8 years ago
Strawberry, rose, graphite on the nose. Red fruit-- strawberry, cranberry, cherry jolly rancher. Barbecued meat. Slight minerality. Great balance of mod tanins and mod acidity. Maybe even drinking best on day three-- bright fruits faded from being so forward on day one and wine opened up to complexities on day three. — 8 years ago
Very good, red fruits, mod green vegetables , earthy, acidic and good with food poolside! — 8 years ago
M+ acid, ripe tropical fruit, Mod alcohol, off-dry. Nice WA example. — 9 years ago
Great wine! Amazing to taste a 19 year old dry white drinking at its prime. Probably related to being on the lees for years before bottling. Rich, medium body, moderate acidity, mild-mod complexity. Paired nicely with calamari and spaghetti with clams. Wish I had several more bottles. — 5 years ago
Mild spice to the nose. Taste great no after taste not heavy feel alcohol mod. Smooth after taste — 7 years ago

Made by Chimney Rock. Well-balanced and not over-oaked. Vanilla and dark red fruits. Mod tannins. Enough complexity to be exciting to drink. — 8 years ago
Mod concentration of color, medium ruby fading to garnet and orange, dried cherry fruit and tomato paste still dominate. Dusty tannins, leather and green tobacco. VA lingers. Won't last the long haul. — 8 years ago
Strawberry/licorice, mod acidity to give backbone and structure. Love this — 9 years ago
Very good Sonoma cab. Mod-high tannins, dark fruits, smooth and easy to drink. Well structured. Smyrna beverage warehouse for $18.99 — 5 years ago
90.5 Great refreshing acid, low to mod tannin, silky texture. Ripe cranberry, raspberry jam, strawberry, a bit of savory spice, touch of pepper. Kinda smells and tastes like Northern Rhone syrah's younger less developed but more peppy and high energy brother. — 6 years ago
Does VERY well a decant, takes the brett( which actually like) out & smoothes the edges a bit. Dark dark black fruits, that volcanic minerality all through. Mild to mod tannins. Can match any food, just about- this time chicken w saffron, apricots; roasted brussel sprouts, & corn pudding w roasted garlic & sage — 8 years ago
Sight: deep concentration, ruby red moving to a garnet rim, mod staining, mod+ tearing,
Ripe Blackberry, rich raspberry, cassis, mulberry, leather, potting soil, touches of vanilla and allspice.
