Seven year old Napa Cab in its most inviting form. Big fruit bomb initially, transitions to vanilla, then oak and lastly an earthy savoriness; the tannings are very round. Extremely enjoyable, and you can’t beat the food pairing: USDA Prime New York steak. — 5 years ago
Really like this wine much better now than before. Wish I had more in the cellar — 7 years ago

Mary BD 11/19/21 with suckling pig. Opened at the end. Terrific Barolo with all the classic varietal profile. Pleasure to drink though didn’t quite match the Brunello in pairing the pig. Last one and winery defunct. — 3 years ago
Wow! I heard about this Syrah from a friend. Tried it at Santa Barbara Night Market. Hard to find but well worth the effort. — 6 years ago
Easily enjoyable on its own. Wine and yourself. — 7 years ago

Got from Costco. Good. Opened with Mark and Mira — 5 years ago
Deep red purple. Huge red fruit explosion on the on the nose and pallet at first. Nice counterbalance with earthiness and acidity. Some tobacco towards the end. This is bold and savory with round but firm tannings. Time has ironed out the nuances and evolved it into a sleek libation. — 5 years ago
2013 vintage Mira Luna Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Blacktail Vineyard.
Crazy light color on this, perhaps the lightest red wine I've ever had. Bordering on rose status!
Good amount of cranberry and pomegranate on the nose also featuring some pretty well integrated oak aging on the palate. For a 5 year old wine the acid and structure hold up really well. I don't think this wine will change the world, but it will damn sure make it better. — 6 years ago

One of my new favorite Napa Chardonnays, maintains an old world profile with struck flint and reductive characters while maintaining excellent acid. — 3 years ago
