Bright medium ruby , quite thin violet rim . Quite discreet and fine, reserved on the nose . Red cherry , cassis , mineral tinged blackberry, after a while pomegranate. On the palate this is very detailed and precise , great freshness and with more red fruit, cherry , red plum , blackberry , wet slate , saline oyster shell with very fine tannins . Long mineral finish . Very young obviously but incredibly elegant and fresh . Will need time , this closed up quite a lot after time in the decanter . Better in 10 -15 years , will last well a further 10-15 . Incredibly promising . — 8 months ago

Medium deep ruby , medium wide ruby rim. Slightly more generously fruited , compared to the 2011 . Blackcurrant , cassis, touches of spice , less austere or mineral . Quite round and ripe , rich on the mid palate , but without a lot of tannic structure , balanced acidity. Decent length , with a touch more tobacco and saline quality on the finish. This is drinking well now and will continue to show well over the next 8-10 years or so — 2 years ago
Meyer lemons, very light yellow peaches, apples, .
Intensely mineral on the palate.
Lots of yellow flowers, soft. Expansive.
Nice companion to a red curry rice bowl.
Delicious stuff. Definitely bigger and richer palate as it airs/warms.

I love weltner. love. Love. Love. So underrated bc he’s in Franken.
Nose is screamingly mineral. Some lemon peel. A hint of Grapefruit perfume.
Palate is large sized pebbles. Angular in a good way. Has that hidden density. Pink grapefruit as it opens. Masterful. Masterful.
An hour in sweet rocks on the finish.

The consensus among Biblical scholars is that Jesus turned water into pinot noir for his first miracle. This bottle confirms that, even though it doesn’t quite reach the quality served at Cana that fateful day. — 6 years ago
Pleasantly mineral — 10 years ago
Fabulous. Gold color, citrus and mineral nose. Flavors of citrus, stone, and flowers. Tons of acid and minerals. Complex texture. This is great wine! Drink it if you have a chance and cellar it if you can. One of my favorites. With first of the season Alaska halibut. — 11 years ago
Bit of fizz, bright, sunny tart mineral cherry - lovely and cheerful — 11 years ago
Medium ruby garnet terracotta rim, slightly wider than the Lynch. This is cooler and slightly sterner in character than the Lynch. More mineral , with ash , cedar and grafite in character , cassis , blackberry , dark cherry fruits. On the palate this is denser with more tannin , and balanced acidity . Grafite , cassis , herbal cedar , menthol touch . Long fresh but densely fruited, grafite finish . This is younger and more serious than the Lynch, more austere . Probably deserves a little time in decanter, though this is probably in the middle of its drinking window . Certainly no rush here , can go on well for the next 10 if not more years . This shows a really good mix of St Estephe austerity , seriousness and the ripeness and generosity of 1990. A great bottle , showing very well. — 7 months ago
Using a library photo from Delectable. The vintage I had was 2014 which was a brilliant White Burgundy vintage. The nose showing struck match sulphides - also mineral with flint. Notes of fresh herbs with white flowers. Palate is restrained but very precise. The first white from the Burgundy dinner in Sydney on August 7. Just catching up with notes now. The food match with steamed Murray Cod was superb. — 9 months ago
Mineral, lemon mouth watering and rich — 5 years ago
Still kicking! Tannins resolved, so silky and soft. Red and dark fruit, baking spice, leather, pine needles, mineral goodness. This is in a great spot. — 6 years ago
Great pickup by @Steven Perlman during Alsace visit. All about ripping acidity and bone dry mineral and petrol notes with the citrus and orchard fruit now taking on a supporting role with some floral stuff in the mix. Impressive now and should gain complexity — 7 years ago
1996, This 1996 blend of 61% CS and 39% merlot, showed beautifully and justifying the 19 years of cellaring.
A truly deep rich and elegant wine. Lavish red appealing color, lovely nose, leather, black cherries, black current, wet soil, mineral, medium to full body, with soft round tannins, smooth, deep, complex, lovely acidity to balance, and a delicious finish, with hint of sweetness. A truly lovely wine. My score 91, drink to 2019. — 11 years ago
Constant effervescence, mineral, fruity. — 12 years ago
When mature Jamet are on they’re sooo good. ‘98 is gorgeous tonight and even less evolved than a prior bottle. There’s such balance and clarity to its haunting richness wafting complex aromatics of deep blackberry fruit, smoked meats, camphor and black truffle with an elegant, satiny palate, melting tannins and a stunningly long mineral and savory finale. For my tastes, at its peak! — 9 months ago
Quite deep ruby and , garnet terracotta rim. Quite spicy nose , slightly green touches , mix of red and dark fruit . On the palate fills out quite well , good acidity , slightly gritty tannins still with mineral , tobacco notes on the finish . Ok reasonable length . This comes across a bit greener than I remember it , so not sure how representative this bottle is , fine to drink now and over the next 10 years . 91
Second bottle medium deep ruby with garnet rim . Took a bit of time to open up , but very good definition , red and dark fruits, truffle , undergrowth, cigar box and grafite. On the palate quite charming sweet red fruits, red plum, cassis , dried spices, undergrowth , elegant for las cases , grafite and tobacco stained finish . Well balanced acidity and quite gritty but ripe tannin . This is lovely now with time in the decanter and over the next 10 -15 years . Completely different from first bottle . — 3 years ago
Un nez magnifique, incroyable, tellement fin, élégant tout en étant tellement expressif, la bouche a une attaque très ronde, elle est puissante et riche, mais aussi équilibrée, superbe maintenant mais grand vin en devenir. 93-94
Magnificent and gorgeous nose, elegant and classy, layers of white fruit, stony and mineral, the palate is rich, full, intense, yet so classy and balanced, very long finish, great now and with a bright future ahead of it. — 5 years ago
Fruit, mineral, rich texture with a tempting acidity - nobody does this seemingly contradictory combination as well as Keller. All the things for all times. — 6 years ago
Had this over a year ago, this is a new batch, a Fav! Rodolphe Péters took over the reins of this venerable estate in the southern Côte des Blancs in 2008, becoming the fourth generation to lead since the estate was founded in 1919, under the name Camille Péters. 100% Chardonnay, Crisp, fine mousse with steady flow of bubbles. Citrus, and biscuit aromas. Fresh fruit flavors of peach, apples and lemons, smooth and dry. Long mineral finish ending with elegance. Nice! — 7 years ago

Medium lemon gold , still some perlage. This is quite evolved on the nose , with candied peel, brioche , roasted nuts , brine and touch of porcini . On the palate this has good intensity , with high acidity . Creamy lemon peel , toasted nuts , brioche, and a mineral backbone . Quite persistent, lemon pith and chalky finish . At peak now and will continue over the next few years , though this won’t improve — 7 months ago
