Meyer lemons, very light yellow peaches, apples, .
Intensely mineral on the palate.
Lots of yellow flowers, soft. Expansive.
Nice companion to a red curry rice bowl.
Delicious stuff. Definitely bigger and richer palate as it airs/warms.

Good price at warehouse so I snagged one for wiener schnitzel dinner w/ cateloupe, prosciutto, radicchio &fig salad. Opened to give it a lot of air. Cream soda dum dum, Fuji apple, hint of gasoline but not a lot. Goes onto a grapefruit/citrus thing and a nice cream soda finish. Mineral and wonderfully acidic. Need to find older bottles! — 4 years ago
Owes name to man of the cloth born in 1264, Bertrand de Goth, Bishop of Comminges, in the Pyrenees, later became Archbishop of Bordeaux in 1299. Blend, 57% Merlot, 38% Cab Sauv & 5% Petit Verdot & Cab Franc, aged in new French oak for 18 months. Pronounced youthful black fruit aromas with earthy baking spices. Blackberry & plum palate flavors with cedar & spice integrated with firm tannins, long ending, earthy oak with a mineral tang. Needs more bottle age! Tasting Sample! — 6 years ago

Rather smitten with this. Sniffed and nursed it for ages. A little tame when first opened, before some very attractive orchard blossom floral notes emerge, with some tropical and stone fruits. Only about medium bodied and the mineral element - a clean, pure mineral water character, complete with suggestion of spritzy liveliness - almost seems to keep the fruitiness demure as it builds and extends through the long palate. And the fruit is beautiful - pineapple, peach and lime, crisp and fresh. — 10 years ago
OMG, EMRICH-SCHÖNLEBER BIG TIME! Falls ich nicht schon verliebt wäre würde ich mich gleich noch mal in die Weine von Frank Schönleber verlieben. Can't wait to taste them all Tuesday!!! — 13 years ago

An utter masterpiece
Nose: white and yellow flowers.
Palate: bright. Elegant citrus. Mineral. The echoes of framing oak. Utterly delicious. The mathematical limit of what you can do with sub 1er cru grapes. Wow ! Silky sweet lemon fruit.

Last of a 3-pack I bought a few years ago. Should have bought more! Thankfully the ridiculous pricing for the 2008 keeps this 2007 an easy choice when looking for more great champagne.
Having had the 2006, 2007 and 2008 all within the last 6 months or so, it’s fun to see the differences. 2006 seems to be a bigger champagne in regards to richness, yet still has great structure…2008 is wound up crazy tight, extremely chiseled and age worthy…the 2007 is a more accessible version of the three with lots of similarities to 2006.
Right down the middle in terms of style (doesn’t come across reductive or oxidative in profile). Tart lemon, yeasty, chalk, and a hint of nuttiness on the nose. Comtes always has this kiss of freshly baked lemon scone note on the nose to me. Not as multidimensional as 2006, but tons of layers here both aromatically and on the palate. Continuously evolving revealing limestone, powder sugar dusted lemon bars, and roasted almonds. Lemon-lime mineral grip isn’t as prevalent as the 2008 on the finish. This can certainly age, but with how good it is now, pop and enjoy! — 4 years ago

Had this over a year ago, this is a new batch, a Fav! Rodolphe Péters took over the reins of this venerable estate in the southern Côte des Blancs in 2008, becoming the fourth generation to lead since the estate was founded in 1919, under the name Camille Péters. 100% Chardonnay, Crisp, fine mousse with steady flow of bubbles. Citrus, and biscuit aromas. Fresh fruit flavors of peach, apples and lemons, smooth and dry. Long mineral finish ending with elegance. Nice! — 6 years ago

Really lovely. Rustic, brine, mineral. Not gonna overwhelm the tasting notes, just cause I really liked drinking it. — 11 years ago
From magnum. Slightly deeper ruby , thin ruby rim . Quite a lot more dense and darker fruits , cassis , violet , red plum , blackberry, warm earth . On the palate this is denser and more tannic , more body , dark cassis , summer fruits , violets , hedgerow fruits . Hugely elegant and long , balanced and refined . Mineral and earthy but bright and vivacious . Again shows pretty similar to last year , more dense, intense and bigger boned than La Mission , but still supremely refined and balanced . Come back in 10 -15 years , and will surely show well for another 15-20 — 5 months ago

Oops... Opened this in error, thinking it was $18.99. it isn't. 2018 absolutely delicious Rosē. Was perfect with Toblerone. — 6 months ago
Mineral, lemon mouth watering and rich — 4 years ago
Needed a full hour in the decanter before it really began to show up, but could have used several more for sure. Rich, textured and with with quite racy acidity for 2009, showing squeezed lemons, yellow apple, ripe pear, spices and crushed oyster shells. Great purity and energy for the vintage as well that leads to a long intense and mineral infused finish. — 5 years ago
Still kicking! Tannins resolved, so silky and soft. Red and dark fruit, baking spice, leather, pine needles, mineral goodness. This is in a great spot. — 6 years ago

Smoky match-strike and steel and flint. Intense and mineral with good flavor. Length and citrus. Very good. — 9 years ago
