Beautiful! A little meaty and quiet at first, but within an hour it was effusive and showed the vosne roots and the MG style. It should improve for a few more years, but this is singing right now!💃💃 — 6 years ago
This wine was in a pretty good place tonight, although it was reportedly pre-decanted and aerated before being packed up and enoyed with the group. The biggest thing I remember thinking with this one was "I cannot believe this one is almost 10 years old" as the youth in this wine was quite impressive. There was a raspberry cough drop note that was quite present in this wine, with a lavender as well that was very expressive. Really enjoyed this one tonight. — 7 years ago
Dom Perignon P2 1999: from Jay. First presentation of the wine outside the Moet group. Dom Perignon will not be doing a commercial launch of this wine as the quantities are too small to warrant such an effort. Pale straw in colour. Good steam of bubbles - an energetic wine. Relatively restrained on the nose at first. Candied fruits, sweet dough, a degree of minerality. Attack is relatively nuanced but this wine's party trick is the delightful mid palate which is very well structured, refined with great depth and balance. The finish is strong with reasonable length. Very impressive for a 1999. 93/100. Drink 2020 to 2030. — 7 years ago

Nice proprietary blend with a robust flavor of blackberry, leather and ripe but dark cherries. A keeper, will return to this one. — 8 years ago

Had with wine group with crab. Sav Blanc and semillion Bordeaux blend worked beautifully. Good acidity but rich with body. Golden color. Melon flavored. — 10 years ago
Monthly WTF guys blind tasting group. This month was our annual, and famed, Left Bank vs Right Bank theme. All wines served blind as usual. Started off with a Rosé and a champagne. Great night.
This was one of my favorites of the night. One of the best young Bordeaux’s I’ve tasted. Ripe and modern nose (fruit forward) with smoked meat and baked blackberry pie. The palate revealed cocoa/dark chocolate, baking spices and a hint of blue fruit wrapped by black fruit. Big. Will obviously get better, but was shocked how good this was now. I called this ‘12-14 Left Bank. — 5 years ago

Wow 1997 Howell Mtn Dunn out of a Magnum brought by Dave N! Thanks Big time. Getting a chance to drink 18 plus year old wine! What a treat. Tannins have mellowed, fruit is still kicking! Great mouthfeel. Awesome Experience! Monday Night Wine Group Dinner — 9 years ago
This 2004 was simply amazing. The group of 6 of us enjoyed the first bottle from the case so much we drank 4 more.... Paired well with a simple salami (pork, donkey, beef, pepper, salt, and garlic) and a local bread. — 9 years ago

Met Kelly during private tasting in September 2012. Group opinion, "find of the trip." Rick bought a magnum that Kelly signed. — 12 years ago

The first of two GPLs from the evening. Lots of saddle leather mixed with ripe fruit on the nose. Underripe black-cherry on the palate with an herbal dominants finish. Drink now. Thanks @Will Adams . — 5 years ago

A group of guys decided to meet up at our Wine Storage facility and bust out some unique bottles! Scores and notes to follow!
Another Joe contribution, and another wine pushing for WOTN. My first Peter Michael red. Elegant, refined and 100% smooth. One of the best cabs I've had in recent memory. Can't believe this is an '01 based on the dark fruit and tannic structure. Wish I had some PM in my cellar! — 7 years ago

Need a Leo at your party? Looking for that gal who can charm the pants off a discerning group of hopeless wanderers? This is your gal. She's a people pleaser with a penchant for citrus and lemongrass. This is the city gal of summer wines. Crisp, refreshing and a pallet pleaser. Allegedly loves seafood (this according to match.com). — 10 years ago

A standout that got better with every sip. Rich and velvety. Bacon fat and smoked meats. Seamless. For most of the group this edged out a punching-above-its-weight ‘04 Pegau. Perfect extraction and pronounced woodsy tannins suggest 10-20 more years of evolution. — 5 years ago
