so, this was rated on a curve. stored in a fridge in another city. fridge died in summer and it was weeks before i found it. it was baked. and then it was weirdly ok. just used it to explain to @captain henrik how get wine out of a bottle with a coravin (merry xmas, cap'n!) expecting it to be destroyed. lo and behold. second wine from that lot which wasn't ruined. the OTHER, miraculously, was the bernaudeau "sans souffre" which I'll never understand why it was ok. maybe there are wine elves sticking ice in the dead fridge until I found it.... god jul!! — 7 years ago

First 2015 Pinot I have had and this holds so much promise. Typical characteristics of Shea and ripe yet fresh fruit qualities that speak of thoughtful vineyard management and winemaking. Consistently changing in the glass and it's beautiful! Merry Christmas and drink this in the New Year! — 7 years ago
While this is a nice rose champagne, I find it's minerality and fruit slightly out of balance. The minerality overpowers the fruit. There is nice precision but a bit too much tension in the hard chalkiness/minerals. Acidity is good. The fruits have a bit of a tart/sour character. Black cherries, black raspberries, strawberries, touch of watermelon near the rhine, very pronounced edged chalkiness & volcanic minerals, pink rose pedals & baguette. It's enjoyable but bends a bit out of my rose champagne wheelhouse. Merry Christmas Sofia. Looking forward to our own Christmas Eve tonight before we travel for the holiday. — 8 years ago
Velvety and dark, the gingerbread flavor sneaks up on you but doesn't linger. Crisp finish, especially in the back of your throat. — 9 years ago

Still a rich styled pinot, but the lighter vintage and years in the bottle really help this stay balanced. Packed with rich dark fruit and cola notes finishing with a bit of spice. Nice now and will hold for another 3-4 years. — 7 years ago
