Charlie Schmidt wine, had with lamb — 7 years ago
This is a very impressive effort from Bruce Schmidt at Intersection. Ripe fruit, herbs and minerality. For a winery specializing in Merlot, this Cab Franc is well worth it if you can get your hands on some. Drinking well already but could sit for a few more years. — 8 years ago
Jeff Meier- Pinot Blanc has been a favorite white varietal of mine since my early days at J. Lohr. Trimbach's 2014 shows everything that there is to like about the varietal from the green apple, white flower and stone fruit aromas to the fresh flavors of peach, apple and snap pea herb with acidic brightness. — 9 years ago
Does not suck. 2010 doesn't mess around. Also this is of sentimental value: We got this for Gustav Meier when he gave the Schleicher studio a masterclass. — 9 years ago
Floral oily lemon nose. Of meadows. Minerals and acids with unctuous body. Long finish with hints of honeycomb. Schmidt soil. Yummy. JL tasting. — 9 years ago
Apricot Kimmy Schmidt serves pretzelled grapefruit to a room full of Baldwins. — 6 years ago
Monster. I went to this winery. Met Vicky Schmidt and her family. She was holding a baby in 2008 and watching the dog while leading the wine tour and her husband was bottling their wine. This was one of the best moments of my life. I love this winery. — 7 years ago
Delicious. Grilled peach on the first swirl followed by deep Meier lemon and lemon zest flavors. Reminds me of PC/GC Chablis. Good — 8 years ago
Jeff Meier- Merlot can be hit and miss at times, but I was pleasantly surprised by this tasty offering from Girard. The raspberry and blueberry fruit with coffee-like varietal freshness was supported by good palate weight and density. The flavors were fresh and varietally correct. — 9 years ago
Jeff Meier-Recently tasted in a line up with Napa Cabernets, Hilltop showed a refined elegance of violet, black currant and cherry fruit complexed with vanilla, toasted pastry and coffee. The real beauty of this wine is the rich, supple and seamless palate. Put a smile on my face! #cabernetday — 9 years ago
Lovely and easy to drink! Bright soft fruit - orange blossom, Meier lemon - and flowers. Sweet essence but a dry wine. Perfect with Pollo Amalfitano with lemon and thyme on a lovely spring evening. #carricante #italy #sicilia #etnabianco #etna — 9 years ago

Dense and intense. Coffee, chocolate and candies red fruits. Benefited from 1hr+ air. Brought this bottle back from Argentina over 2 years ago after visiting the winery...Oh Yeah... — 8 years ago
Jeff Meier- I really love the wines from this producer. Focused on Burgundy varietals, Walter Hansel has a restrained touch on Pinot Noir. Sour cherry, vanilla and strawberry preserve aromas with a silky smooth palate that balances all of the goodness of Pinot Noir. — 9 years ago
Jeff Meier- This is a delicious Chardonnay from a lesser known appellation in Burgundy - called Montagny. It also comes at a very reasonable price. The wine smells of citrus, apple and struck gun flint with fresh, complex flavors echoing the aromas with excellent balance between palate weight and acidity. Paired with Moules Marinieres. — 9 years ago
In honor of Gustav Meier. Of all the wonderful qualities he had, his taste in alcohol was truly awful. Cutty Sark was his favorite. For wines, he preferred Merlot so every time I got him a bottle of wine, I always chose a right bank Bordeaux. So here's to you, Gusti! — 9 years ago
