A pretty amazing northern Victorian cool climate Shiraz that does not have the normal price tag. Giaconda creates an interesting well priced wine with great fruit, balance and structure. — 13 years ago
10 years ago I moved to this city for an incredible six months, from which came my career of the last 10 years. Big changes are afoot and I’m looking for new opportunities. I think this is the perfect wine to kick it off. — 8 years ago
I like very much. Smooth.... — 9 years ago
Lemon drop, citrus, slight oak, more silky than the Viognier — 9 years ago
Bon ok elle a déjà été mentionnée mais elle fait partie de mes préférées. Une petite brune ambrée avec un mélange boisé et caramélisé. J'adore — 10 years ago

My first Hill and it was a treat. 22 years in the cellar thanks to Mr Mc. Needed some time after opened but was well worth the wait. — 12 years ago
Delicious Napa red bearing true marks of quality. Eminently quaffable. Bottle's gone! — 12 years ago
Fritz's wine is so good that I don't want to put it on BTG but buy it all for myself. — 13 years ago
Star bright yellow gold in the glass. Full nose of hay, white flowers, dried apple. Bright acidity leads the savory medium palate of hay and stone with a back spritz of apple juice and citrus rind. A food wine, to be sure. Sausages and spaetzle with apples and onions are in demand! — 9 years ago
This is serious stuff — 10 years ago

Number 3 tonight of 3. Started with the 2004 Alter Ego from Palmer, followed by the 2012 Realm Farella, and now this wine. The Palmer was good, the Hartwell better, but the Realm was best. This Hartwell at 10 years old has a tremendous amount of life in it. Enjoyed with a brownie made by Liam and supervised by MC. How can cab and brownies be bad. Hey Becca thanks for the shoutout on Delectable, and follow me push. I assume I'm your first wine friend too. — 11 years ago
