A very fruity nose lots of cherry and strawberry, deep red in color, the very fruit focused flavor is beautifully balanced with a earthy flavor a full of cedar. Nice dry finish. A Great wine — 10 years ago
Had this on Juliette and I's "first date"...so the experience may be clouding my judgement, but we both remember this being really good. Pretty bold and a little spicy. I'm definitely a Michael David homer, so.... — 10 years ago
Great stuff, gift from a friend and drunk with friends Mat en Tineke — 11 years ago
Floral on the nose. Displaying the fruit of sunny California heat with an underlying sweetness that's kept at bay with a floor mat of svelte spice. Perfectly complimenting chicken cacciatore. — 9 years ago

Don't know where I've been since I didn't know they expanded their wines...actually I've been pregnant for the past 2 years. This one is smooth and whole fruity very subtle and I really loved it! A new MaT fav! — 9 years ago
Juicy, a little fruit, some black pepper at the end. — 10 years ago
Very nice. Fruity. Smooth. Found it in my wine rack--must have been a gift. A very nice one! — 10 years ago
A lot of cherry and spice. Went well with spice-rubbed pork tenderloin and grilled sweet potatoes. @foodandwine — 10 years ago
The deliciously balanced, complex 2010 Vina Sastre Pesus, kills with its seductive aromas; rich, pure fruit; and super refined, sweet tannins. It definitely needs several years of bottle age, but Paco Sifuentes couldn't resist opening a bottle on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of Canela Bar & Bistro, the restaurant he owns with his partner, Chef Mat. — 12 years ago
This was a recommendation and I'm glad I got it. Gamay is a grape the mat is suited to the Valley weather and this one lives up to region. Very smooth wand well balanced. Nice taste of cherries and will be good with seafood or beef. Only hope I can get more of this fine BC wine. — 9 years ago
A delight. Lingering samplings of crushed, dry violets, old rubber door mat (not in a bad way, in an older cabernet kind of way), blackberry and chocolate. New french oak. Great cab dominant blend. — 9 years ago
chrysanthemum color wuth very nice & clean aromas of lemon skin, pear, and flowers on the nose. Medium-to-full-bodied followed by crisp and refreshing taste of lime & green apple on the palate. Dry & good texture with nice balanced of acidity & mild salty. Taste like Sauvignon Blanc & match perfectly with seafood and sashimi. Good value & like it a lot. — 9 years ago
Lovely little rosé from the Languedoc region. Dry cherry and watermelon with a bit of spice on the end. A steal for $11 in NYC. — 10 years ago
Nice and sweet merlot. Wouldn't be my usual choice, but was a pleasant surprise of a gifted bottle. — 10 years ago
Very light in color. Faint aroma of linden trees in bloom and pear. Bracing acidity and some minerality. Tingles through the finish. Makes a clean getaway. 2013 — 10 years ago
