We had this wine on our date night at Monteverde celebrating restaurant week. Opens up with scents of prunes and forest floor. The flavors are pleasant and structured. Wine does not change over time in the decanter and kind of disappoints. I was skeptical about this wine based on the price and let this muddle my thoughts. Roasted Rosemary with mint peel back to reveal a cran-plum, raspberry and cherry, violet and black rose in barley dust. There is a deeper still grape in clay note with cinnamon. Dry middle with medium mouthfeel and immediate fine-grained tannins. A tangy cherry-cran note persists, there is a minerality and blue dye note mixed with tiny twigs and plum skin.
