This is a very special wine for me. Chose the barrels at the Hospice in 2000 and won the lot in the auction with an old, dear friend William Brown. We swapped bottles as half were bottled with his name and half for Les Zygomates Paris/Boston for a restaurant I got to build with chef Ian Just. Bill (William) was instrumental in helping us open the Boston les Zygomates. It is also from my son Isaac's birth year. And it is drinking amazingly well, a little funk, soft red fruit, ripe plum and silky tannins. Thanks to my old ffriend and negociant Alex Gambal for "raising" the wine with such skill! — 9 years ago

Nose of tropical fruits, yellow apple, crushed flint, lightly smokey like a match lit across the room, very minor oak.
Palate has tart yellow fruits, green banana skin, under-ripe pineapple, wet mineral dust, light green herbs notes, distant oak. Finish is medium-long.
This bottle needs lots of air and likely at least a decade to settle into itself. — 7 years ago
With Matt @ Covina - super yummy! Well rounded, elegant, simply delicious! — 9 years ago
2004. Well balanced with notes of straw and a caramel finish. A delight with Beth's grilled chicken w/ mango sauce and broccoli salad. — 10 years ago
