Very silky with nice honeysuckle notes. Balanced. Some pineapple finish β 7 years ago
Excellent Zin Blend. Lush dark Cherry overtones and finishes nicely. I have more bottles and they are in jeopardy. This wine could age 10 years but probably will not. β 8 years ago
A tannic monster. Figured a wine named "Wild Boar" is appropriate for Father's Day. This is so freaking dark in notes, but the color wouldn't allude to that. Color is red/purple and smells hot. Red licorice, peppercorn, anise on the nose. High tannins on the palate. Cedar, smoky, beef jerky notes to it. Spicy rhubarb too. If opening now, this needs at least a two hour decant. β 9 years ago

Very nice; interesting floral notes, but not overpowering. β 12 years ago
A pre-dinner bottle while we do meal prep tonight.
Prior notes still apply:
Nose has lime zest, lime juice, green hay, wet granite/limestone pebbles, oxidized green apple peel, polyethylene tubing and tangerine peel.
Palate has Key lime flesh, cold tangerine slice, apricot skin, wet-pulverized limestone, lemongrass, tangerine zest, (minor) dried apricot and light honey on the medium finish, medium acid, great balance. β 5 years ago
The consensus among Biblical scholars is that Jesus turned water into pinot noir for his first miracle. This bottle confirms that, even though it doesnβt quite reach the quality served at Cana that fateful day. β 7 years ago
Flora springs. One of our favorite labels! Never disappointed. Smooth blend. Super easy drinker. Crowd pleaser β 8 years ago
Heavy on the melon, plenty of a acidity and just a whisper of oak. β 8 years ago
Drinking this wine made me forget Donald Trump was our president. Which begs the question, is it better to have drank, then to never drank at all?

A wine to remember. Plenty of fruit after 38 years. It continued to open for an hour and held on long after that. A truly special wine. many thx Mike for letting us help "rescue" this one from a worn out cork. β 11 years ago

Christmas Day wine ππ πΌπ·
Acquired this for two reasons: Flora Springs was my βa-haβ wine 10yrs ago which started my wine journey, and secondly because itβs my sister-in-lawβs birth year.
Enjoyed on Christmas Day (with said sister-in-law) and family (the family who introduced me to wine + Flora Springs). Kept the bottle standing for a few days. In the glass, there was bricking but the color was much more vibrant than expected. Aromatically, it showed mushroom and fig, but a good bit of muddled red and black berry fruit, some mint as well. Alive, elegant and bright on the palate with good tannin structure (held strong the two hours it was open). Small hint of tobacco at the finish, but the berry fruit stayed persistent keeping the flavors balanced. Undeniably older Napa (13%) and in great shape. β 2 years ago
