A great Barolo and for less than $60. Nebbiolo leather and spice on the nose. Typical high but well balanced acid on the palate with raspberry and bright red fruit. — 6 years ago

Full-bodied but not smooth Italian Chardonnay, served with scampi at Gigi’s in the South End, Boston — 17 days ago
Primarily Nebbiolo with small amounts of Barbera (10%) and Dolcetto (5%) blended in. Medium pink color. Aromas of white flowers, rose petals and raspberry. The bold palate notes red berries, pomegranate and cherry with a hint of saline on the finish. Nicely balanced and an easy drink. Very food friendly. Bright, crisp and fresh. Another great way to enjoy the Nebbiolo grape. — 2 years ago
Should have opened it early and decanted - or better yet, hid it under a floorboard for a good ten plus years. Tightly wound tannins which come out swinging. Yet, with hints of the promised land to come in its youthful (?) bluster. — 2 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2021 pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium plus viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red and black fruit: Morello cherry, raspberries, pomegranate, roses, fresh asphalt, talcum powder, dry green herbs, gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and a touch savory. In general, the 2021’s are strutting at this early stage and it’s hard to say if they will shut down like the 2010 and 2013 vintage or keep delivering the goods like the 2016 vintage. Regardless, the future is long and bright. Drink now with patience and through 2061. — a day ago
