Lagunitas crushed it with this Red. Before I got into IPAs, ambers were my thing. This one is off the charts good. If you are a big Fat Tire fan, you may not appreciate the higher IBUs and ABV. If you are someone who likes both IPAs and Ambers, you're going to friggin love this. Makes me teary eyed to think this is a limited release and yet Buttweiper continues to exist. — 10 years ago

With a 2" depressed cork and questionable fill, we were all hesitant with our expectations, to say the least. Let me be clear: this wine was beautiful. Such an experience to taste a 61 year old wine that still has life in it. Liquid music, poetry you can taste, or whatever artistic production you want to draw upon, this wine was as captivating as a live performance. This was light garnet in color without any brown, with open aromas of soy sauce, cranberry jam, truffle, potting soil, dried prune, green tea, and black coffee, the wine's structure said Here, let me show you these flavors, like a welcoming dinner party host who isn't over-trodden about anything that just puts you at ease. Wines like this are art in a bottle. — 11 years ago

Pierre Lurton dropped by the shop today with this bottle (among others - lucky me)! Fresh and vivacious. 53% Cab Franc & 47% Merlot. Cool green Franc character really shines without occupying the field. Fine, elegant tannins lend beautiful bone structure. Lost Draw Cellars is new Texas winery from Andy Timmons, one of the biggest growers in the Texas High Plains AVA.

Arroyo Rojo is a Red Blend of Carignan, Mourvèdre, Grenache, and a touch of Viognier. We really enjoyed this wine. — 11 years ago
