Reserve Les Barriques Pays d'Oc Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Amazing cab, super French with a strong red finish and although not much nose to it, it definitely is complex and is a superb heavy food wine like BBQ or Italian pasta! Love this wine!! — 9 years ago

Crozes-Hermitage Vieilles Vignes 2012

Old world meets new. Dark chocolate and smokey cherry. If it wasn't for the white pepper and sneaky bead of acid, this could be from Oz or Walla Walla. Guilt pleasure. — 10 years ago

Nice nose of orange and a little peachy too. Some minerality too. — 10 years ago

Reticent on both nose and palate for 1st hour. Both unfurl with air. Meat, black fruit, floral on nose. Expands in glass. Palate fills out: nice whack of salty earth, iron, meat, black cherry. Buoyed by ripe tannins and sneaky acidity. No hurry here, but a very satisfying 2006. Re-buy, enthusiastically. — 11 years ago

Has developed well but is still so bad. Give it 5 more years and at this price it is going to be hard to beat. — 10 years ago

As soon as my nose went in the glass I was hit by an incredibly pleasant aroma that can only be attributed to a wine that has aged and matured well. Very fruit forward on the nose with a rustic yet subtle leather expression. On the palate, simply elegant. If you want to call it meaty, that's fine, but this French Syrah is incredibly smooth and wet, almost putting the "meatiness" in the background. Be careful, you could drink this whole bottle in a few minutes. It's that drinkable.
