My last bottle of the 2012. Dense purple red. Plum, red fruit and a little earth/funk in the nose. Raspberry, boysenberry, plum and cola in mouth, tart, mild skin astringency on finish with lemon, plum and cola in aftertaste. It's an all round player - fruity, full-bodied and smooth with little acidity and tannin. It pairs well with pretty much everything, including beef, chicken and salmon. It's a good wine to bring to any gatherings. The price point is reasonable for a vintage wine - C$22. — 10 years ago

The wine has a golden color. On the nose there’s a touch of smokiness with aromas of apple, pineapple, butter, caramel and walnut. It’s full bodied with a buttery mouthfeel but still has a sharp, piercing acidity. There’s flavors of pineapple, vanilla, banana and ginger.
