Domaine Lucci Gris Blanc 2015: Pinot Gris. Pinot Grigio. Same grape, right? Yes, but not yes. "Gris" typically indicates a wine made in a fleshier, more complex style than your basic striped down "crisp white wine." And this one is no exception to that loose rule. It's definteily not stipped down version of anything. It's the saignee (bled off) white juice of the crazy pink Gris Gris above, fermented in a combination of ceramic and oak. It's fleshy and textured and almost opulent, but with an underlying minerality that's there if you look for it. Dare we say it's sexy? Yes, we dare. — 9 years ago

This is my new go-to. Full of flavor, robust, and just the right amount of hops. Plus brewed in MD. What more do you need?? — 10 years ago

A delicious wine from Ardeche from organic farming, a blend of 60% Syrah 30% Merlot 10% Grenache Cinsault - indigenous yeasts, not fined, not filtered, 12 to 18 months in barrels - a great wine with a bright future 🍷👏😃 Needs time at opening to loose its alcohol touch! — 11 years ago

Now that I have calmed down, Im drinking the other bottle of Amizetta from a few weeks ago. This cork is damaged by wine seepage and pressure, but not as bad as the cabernet bottle's cork. I still have not heard a word from the "fine people" at Amizetta. However, this Complexity is much better than the cab due to heat damage in shipping. Which was Amizetta's fault. However, it is sour, puckers my lip. Ill never buy from this company again. Only if Spencer calls me directly and apologizes will I buy from him again. For real though,
Color is dark, bouquet is blackberry pie and Red licorice. The initial palate - after a 30 min decant - is raspberry, blackberry, oak, and mild spice. The finish is fast and mildly dry. Drinks like a Merlot which is 40% of the blend. It does loose the sour beginning but it resurfaces on the finish after the decant. — 8 years ago
Smooth, nice for the price especially — 9 years ago
A puncheon of tropical punch punching you right in the face! Ripe pineapple and banana and a bit of wet socks. I've never smelt something so pungent from a Junmai. Semi-sweet but then it kinda wimps out with a loose backbone afterwards. Still thuroughly enjoyed but just felt it was flabby in a sake way. You know? — 9 years ago
Deep structure. Crazy for 2005, could sit for another five years before letting loose. Still worth opening now. — 9 years ago
Aromatic up the shit damn. So loose and gorgeous. — 10 years ago
Busted loose the 2008 to assess early drinking potential. A sacrifice of one bottle for five. Honestly, there is something about 2008 Brunellos that are less austere/classic than 2006, but do not possess that tiny bit of burn from the heat of 2007. So, drink earlier (now) or wait for another 4-7 years. 2008s are drinkers and keepers. — 10 years ago
Classic franc. Pencil lead. Black berry and strawberry with fresh green peppers on the background. Lighter finish with loose and minimal tannins. — 11 years ago

Smokey, dusky, smouldering red fruit
Light, lithe, possesses volcanicity - that sense of a wine that is airy like a pumice stone; Fine texture, it opens up to reveal a loose and fine structure. — 9 years ago
Big fruit and loose leaf tea aroma pours out of the glass. Tropical hints. On the palette: pure, dark fruit. Some white pepper. Drinking great now and will improve with a little time. Love this wine. — 9 years ago
Fuck. I can't stop drinking this. This wine bar across from my kitchen is draining my wallet on getting in bed with this girl. Pure relaxation, so silky, so balanced...the minerals, the cherries, the mysteries of every sip. Open for 10 minutes, open for 2 hours, doesn't matter, she's tight, she's loose, she's so gorgeous and quiet. Fuck. I gotta get out of here. — 10 years ago
Second type of cab I've tried, very different flavor. I'm a fan of California Reds!

Pinotman /// Andreas
Prune nose. Nice dark color. A micro producer. They have trouble now to get grapes as money flows into Burgundy they loose out. Beautiful wine 🍷 could use another 3 years or so. Cherry 🍒 cranberry touch of lemon 🍋 zest and chalk / really well done / this is ‘handmade’. Blows Bize and Pavelot the apparent benchmarks for Savigny out of the water. Amitié wines online has these or Meritage in Encinitas and a bunch of Michelin Star restaurants in SF. You can’t go wrong if you like his traditional style. — 7 years ago
