The reason I fell in love with wine, popped my cherry or grape I should say. I was 19 and took this from my fathers stash, definitely got in trouble but it was worth it! — 9 years ago
A fantastic 2002, this lovely wine shows once more that today there aren't really bad years in Bordeaux, this Pontet Canet was well structured rich and tempting. Deep red, tempting rich multi layered nose ripe cherries, black current, coffee, cigar box, and tea leaves, full rich body, dry tannins, full of black fruit, high acidity and a long chewy finish. Was worth the wait, my score 90. Drink to 2022 — 9 years ago

Excellent balance between fruit, body, and earth. Would buy again. — 13 years ago
So beautiful and clear in its purpose, titillating on the nose and fulfilling its promises beyond. Balanced and velvety dark red fruit, hints of black tea and cassis but all in a more Old than New World Gestalt. Lots of secondary stuff emerging you just want to sip it slowly. If anybody wonders how well these age, track one down, it’s so worth it. Kudos @Cathy Corison for making this distinctive and enduring bottle! — 7 years ago
Big and perfect. — 9 years ago
The tannins always rough me up more or less over the years, but now it's more a stern reprimand. Well worth the $20/bottle tariff -- in 2003!?? — 9 years ago
Great fruit. Very enjoyable. Worth the price — 10 years ago
This old and empty bottle I drank with friends and family members on my Birthday it's a Magnum and wasn't as well cared for as another Magnum of Chateau Talbot also a 1949 Magnum also drank on my birthday with friends who as well as me, are old farts or dead. I'm still kicking but not a clue as to why? Possibly the fine wine I/we consumed? The Talbot was considerably better and I paid less for it back in the 70's. Drank it in 1979 it & me were 30 back then. I loved it then and my guess is I'd love it today!

Worth scouting for... Starting to get that aged quality Cab characteristic. Showing off super hard right now. This wine, we're it human, which I am thankful it is not, would be the popular Johnny-football-hero type back in High School. A little too young to drink, hangs out with all of the cheerleaders, can deliver a mean wedgie and calls alot of attention to himself. — 8 years ago
Okay - fine. It’s a good, probably great wine. Overpriced? Yes. Is it worth the money? No it’s not. Opus is filled with pretentious douchbags? Double yes. But this is a well-made wine bridging a gap between Napa and Boudreaux. Dusty nose with menthol, earl grey tea, tobacco, vanilla, flowers, cassis, and creamy dark fruits. It has a really nice velvety finish. — 8 years ago
The usual notes of cherries and oak, but a balance and finish worth writing home about. Alongside hints of mocha, the 2009 beautifully displays a eucalyptus undertone with an opulent mouthfeel. Very good, big and fruit forward wine. Well rounded. — 9 years ago
Worth the wait!! Top year 2007 consumed June 2016. Well worth packing for Arubs — 10 years ago

As with anything, more hype = more let down. Dont get me wrong this is good. Not sure its worth the price. Smooth, not overly carbonated. Crisp. — 7 years ago
